I can. Is it a slight overpay? Sure. But it's no worse than giving a ****ing punter 3 plus million and there was no wailing and gnashing of teeth over that idiotic ****ing contract.

You have to take care of your MVP.

I'd rather use that money to make Justin Houston one of the higher paid pass rushers in the league.

We don't even have a QB to pay and people are worried about money.

Unbelievable.

This isn't some kind of back-breaking contract. Shit, the amount we'd pay Fisher and Albert over the next five years is probably the same amount Jake Long's ass got all by himself.**

Keep in mind, the Dolphins not only have to pay him, but have to compensate us as well.

If that's all it was, I think Dorsey is taking the #54 pick right now. Pretty sure they wouldn't even have been talking if that compensation price was too high for the Dolphins. Dorsey has to just want this to end.

Considering the Dolphins had all the leverage after trading away #42 last night, I'm betting they pulled 54 off the table.

They don't need Albert nearly as bad as Chiefs fans think they do. They have 9 picks left. They could easily (and should) use some of them to move up tonight to take Menelik Watson.

Or you could just give him Tyson Jackson's money.

Bowe deserved that money. He's been to a pro bowl and has been a 1,000 yard receiver the day he walked into Arrowhead....and with terrible QB's to boot.

And Albert had been a good pass blocker despite having the worst QBs in the league when it comes to pocket presence.

The amount of people bitching about Albert while completing ignoring that elephant in the room...

BossChief 04-26-2013 04:13 PM

Rappaport said Dorsey has been calling Miami and they haven't answered.

I bet Ireland is having more phone issues.

Total pressure allowed, 2011 + 2012 (sacks + hits + hurries):

Branden Albert: 41

Duane Brown: 48

Eat the corn nuggets right outta my shit.

Or he doesn't care about Albert anymore and Dorsey is left sitting with his thumb up his ass.

Typical, solid, Chiefs offseason.

Typical solid Chiefs offseason.

I get the idea they were never very serious about him.
