Vanilla offense is vanilla and obvious. I can't wait until the first game.

On the 4th and 1 where Ben Niemann made the big stop, Stefan Charles was being massively held just to his left. If Charles doesn't make the team, he'll remember the time that he could've made the big stop and had a ten-year career if some backup lineman didn't have eight handfuls of his jersey.

That's because the stadium was half empty and I wasn't there.

I wasn't looking at the screen, but I heard them say that and it made me sigh. We don't teach history well in the schools these days.

Just watched the 1st QTR -thanks Fish for posting the replay.

My observations:

1. Patrick Mahomes on 3rd and 6 tossed a 2 yard pass to Hunt that resulted in a punt- he's gotta forget what he learned and saw from Alex Smith. That brought back scary memories. :eek:

2. Our DB's all looked like they were 12 yards off the receivers, even in the Red Zone. WTF is that?

3. Our D-line got some good push on pretty much every snap.

4. #24 sucked balls and I won't even use his name.

5. Kendall Fuller tackles great

6. Dee Ford was invisible and missed a few tackles early

7. O line weak

Just watched the 2nd QTR

My observations:

1. Chad Henne an excellent backup and still has a strong arm. I was surprised in a positive way.

2. Damian Williams did a real nice job both with running and catching the ball. He is small, long shot to make the team with all our depth but he was a guy I knew ZERO about before the game.

3. Our CB's and LB's missed more tackles and took more bad angles. Lot's of chunk plays

4. DeMarcus Robinson has good instincts and runs a nice route. Still smaller in size than I knew.

5. Looked like not too many fans showed up for the first game of preseason and the start of Mahomes ERA.

6. What the hell is with three running backs all named Williams??? Saving costs on Uniforms?

Not going to comment on 3rd and 4th QTRs garbage time.

Thanks for posting. I wasn’t able to watch and had to track it on NFL.com while reading the GDT.

As I figured, it wasn’t nearly as bad as CP made it out to be.

Our players did not give two shits about this game. Watch Kelce in the first screen to Tyreek. He barely puts his arms up to block.

Can’t blame them. I’m not risking injury in the first preseason game.
