Would they really cut it off on TV? That's harsh and might turn a lot of viewers off.....

LMAOLMAOLMAO can't say that with a straight face. GoT can do no wrong.

I'm sure they won't do it on-camera, but as far as "turning a lot of viewers" off goes, the 9th episode will take care of that on its own. I can't wait to see the internet explode (although people figuring it out or reading spoilers should maybe help, unlike Ned's beheading in season 1, which seemed out of left field to a lot of people who'd never read the books.).

Hmmm I don't think people are as attached to Robb as you think. Nor Catelyn. Maybe mothers but that's it. Once Cat sends away Grey Wind everyone will understand what's about to happen and will blame her aptly for it.

Also in terms of the OP sequence. They need to start thinking about showing The Gift in depth when they go from Winterfell to the Wall. Because that's where Jon's arc is going to be for a bit as well as Bran's and the Reeds'. And if they don't hurry up and show the D cup breasted Val I'm going to punt puppies.

I think you underestimate just how many people with ovaries watch this show.

LMAOLMAO :banghead: They can't stop watching it. They might miss more naked Jaime. I'm not underestimating them in that respect.

I don't remember Cat sending away Grey Wind. I thought she was nervous that
Grey Wind wasn't with him? Am I misremembering that?

Me too. Robb send him away despite Cat warning him not to do so.

I don't remember that. I'm pretty sure she told him it was best to leave him as they have already upset the Freys as it was. Fairly certain.

From westeros.org:
Quote:

Just before the Red Wedding, Grey Wind sensed the Freys' impending betrayal. He growled at Lothar Frey and Walder Rivers upon Robb's arrival at the Twins. Catelyn urged Robb to trust Grey Wind's instincts, but Robb had him tethered in the stables during the wedding. While the butchery of the Stark forces took place, Frey men would kill Grey Wind, but not before he was released by Raynald Westerling, allegedly killing four Frey wolfhounds and tearing the arm off of a man, even while being shot by crossbows. His head was sewn onto Robb's corpse as a final insult to the Starks.

From the text: "He's a direwolf, not a dog," said Robb, "and dangerous to men he does not trust. Ser Raynald, stay with him. I won't take him into the Lord Walder's hall like this." Deftly done, Catelyn decided. Robb keeps the Westerling out of Lord Walder's sight as well.

So she certainly did not go out of her way to tell him you must keep him with you. And before that exchange Robb kept calling Grey Wind to him. If Grey Wind wasn't acting so disobedient then he certainly would have taken him in there with him. She approved of what he did. I'm tired of people trying to make her out to be anything but a punk.

Needless to say they'll probably make it so in the show and save Catelyn's character although she still is the worst character in the book.

Um...

So Jeyne (or her counterpart in the show) is pregnant? Kind of huge.

Like, maybe spoils the books huge.

I thought we all knew she was pregnant. Or at least very heavily suspected.

We did not know, at least it was never spelled out in the books. The reason there's so much speculation about whether our not she is pregnant is because of the effect it would have regarding Robb's letter about Jon.

Amnorix 05-13-2013 10:26 AM

I'm not that deep into Book 5 yet, but in the books she was being given moon tea (a birth control of some type) by her mother, who was telling her that she was giving her fertility drugs. At this point in the books the reader is left feeling confident that Jeyne is not pregnant.
