Maybe Sam the Slayer as well since they set that up this week by having Sam show Gilly the black dagger. Episode 8 is called Second Sons. I assume Tyrion and Sansa will marry in that episode. Probably Jorah will get busted for his prior spying on Dany.

Episode 9 is the Rains of Castamere. That pretty much has to be the Red Wedding given that the biggest events always happen in Episode 9 (Ned's beheading in season 1, battle of blackwater last season). Plus that is of course the song the band plays when Catelyn realizes what's about to happen and the shit all goes down.

Episode 10 is Mhysa which I assume means Dany takes Yunkai and all the slaves call her Mhysa ("Mother"). Probably the season ends with Beric giving his life force to Catelyn as well which would also be appropriate for the Mhysa title.

Good analogy. I assume we'll get the shitter murder in Episode 10 as well.

I can't remember who bought it first in the books - Joffrey or Robb.

Man...I would've put my sword through Orell's head after I got on top of the Wall.

The shitter murder is likely episode 9 of next season. Remember, they are splitting book 3 over two seasons, and that was the very end of book 3.

Next season will include Joffrey's wedding and Tyrion's framing, The Red Viper fighting the Mountain in Tyrion's trial by battle, Jon fighting off the wildling attack on the wall and Stannis coming to the rescue, and Jon being elected LC of the NW, and Dany taking Mereen and deciding to stay a while, and Sansa leaving Kings Landing, and Arya and the Hound fighting those men (in the books she kills the Tickler in an awesome awesome scene, but he's already dead on the show, so...) and Arya leaving the Hound and taking off to Bravos. Still lots to happen, but I'm so glad they split it over two seasons because they could never have fit it all into 10 episodes.

Oh, and Robb bites it first. Then Joffrey next season. Balon Greyjoy dies in there also, not sure if they'll show it since it wasn't shown in the books, it was just discussed. The death of these three kings is what Melisandre will accomplish with Gendry's blood. She used Edric Storm's blood in the books (another Robert bastard). She did some freaky spell with three leeches full of Edric's blood. Show will probably be even creepier. We should find that out in the next two episodes since she has to do that before the Red Wedding in episode 9.

We just finished working on that episode and all I have to say is...
Ho...ly...SHIT!!!!!!!
Epic.

The one thing I don't like about GoT is how they just shit on the Starks. They better bring it full circle in the last books because they killed off all the cool Stark people already, outside of Arya.

Well, the original working title GRRM stated for book 7 was "A Time for Wolves". He since has changed it to "A Dream of Spring", but hopefully the first title was a hint at where the Starks ultimately end up in the story.

You've got Arya learning to be a killer, Sansa learning to play the game of thrones from the master at it, Bran is learning to see and influence everything, Rickon is probably learning to be wild and fearless, and Jon has been learning to be a leader (hopefully he comes back into it). They could be a pretty formiddable bunch, especially once Arya is reunited with her wolf (make it happen GRRM...or else!).

The most interesting part of this last episode for me was Melisandre telling Arya that they WILL meet again. When and how and where? Hmmmm.....

Is there only 10 episodes a season?

Robb. As you may remember from the books, Joffrey was demanding that they send Robb's head to them at King's Landing so Joff could make Sansa kiss it at his wedding or some such insanity.

Someone, Tywin I think, was like "how about no, you crazy Dutch bastard". (possibly not a direct quote).

I have a feeling that Rickon will at the very least provide a crazy story arc and he may factor very largely in the last two books. They made Davos's trip to find him seem insanely dangerous.

Hopefully Arya is the biggest badass on the planet. I keep holding out hope that she ends up warging Nymeria. They play up the fact that all the Stark kids are wargs so we will see if they pay that off. I doubt it will happen but I would love if Bran warged one of the three dragons. Then he truly would fly.

Arya has warged Nymeria while sleeping, Nymeria even helped her escape Harrenhall by killing the 4 brave companions that were sent after her. She also warged a cat while awake when she was the blind girl, so I have to assume she will at some point reunite with Nymeria and warg her while awake as well. Hopefully!

Bran warging a dragon would be fantastic. I've been hoping for that as well. His powers seem to be expanding. In the Theon chapter released after ADWD, Theon is being held in Stannis' room, and when Asha comes in, Stannis tells her he is going to execute Theon. The ravens in the room start saying "Theon, Theon, Theon" and Asha tries to convince Stannis to do the execution at the weirwood tree in the middle of the lake where they are camped. Definitely something going on with Bran in that scene with the ravens and why did Asha ask Stannis to do it at the weirwood tree unless somehow Bran communicated with her as well. Interesting. Can't wait for book 6!

Man, I hope not. I really want them to save the Cat/Lady Stoneheart reveal. I hope they do it exactly like the book. Wait until the end of Season 4 to show the book three epilogue. That's my hope.

You really think they'll wait that long?

I figured Tyrion/Twyin would be Episode 9 of Season 4. I gotta think Joffrey bites it early in Season 4. Maybe episode 2 or 3?

I think we're saying the same thing. Next season is season 4, and I expect he actual shitter killing to happen in episode 9 of season 4. I think Joffrey bites it early next season too, for sure by episode 4.

Oh, oh, oh. Sorry. I'm with you. Yes, we're saying the same thing.
