Barnett took Northwestern to a Rose Bowl and I believe won the conference a time or two with Colorado (was he the coach for their Nat'l championship run?). Barnett has a much better resume as a head coach than Charlie Weis.

And what's Fulmer done to create an NCAA issue? Most of the crap at TN was from Pearl and the basketball program; the football troubles were all Monte's kid. Fulmer has a relatively clean NCAA track record, especially for as long as he was around.

KU got themselves a practice wife - just like I said they should. You were all appalled at the suggestion that he job was crap at the moment and they needed to find a bit of a fallen star with a proven track record to prop it back up.

Or maybe Weis was Zengers #1 guy the whole time. Afterall, AD Ninja clearly didn't wouldn't have lost out on anyone he actually wanted...

Ok, Weis, go recruit a QB.

I'm sure you've had a sit-down talk with him and know him personally. The MU butthurt is hilarious in these Weis threads. Go play with your bigger sisters in the SEC west. They feel the same inadequacy as MU and are just as angry. Similarly, they're too stupid to figure out why. IT MUST BE THEM!!!

Not sure what to think of this. I suppose all of the candidates that have been discussed lately have some concerns. Gus Mahlzen had no HC experience and could have been a failure as a HC. I don't think so, but you never know. And there are concerns with Weiss, but who knows how real they are.

I do like the fact that KU is trying to go big time here. Weiss' name definitely should help in recruiting as well as with donors. Wiess has hopefully learned some lessons from his first stint. I guess we will see how he coaches the 2nd time around.
