I hated Batista until the last few months of his last run. Thought he was great as a heel right before he left.

Ryback is the special needs goldberg (i stole that from somebody somewhere).

I just wish we lived in a world where they could give Daniel Bryan a run like that. Where everything wasn't predicated on physique, and actual talent *as a wrestler* (in the ring and on the mic both) was what got guys pushed.

Won't happen as long as vince is alive. I do think (suprisingly) a lot of the pushes we've seen lately that might not have happened in the past (punk, specifically) have a lot to do with HHH. And he's clearly open to bringing in and developing indy wrestlers, so maybe the approach will change in time.

I realize the average fans' love of Taker. Personally, I'd love for him to go away. My feeling towards Taker probably = most smarks' views towards The Rock.

HHH has an appreciation for the "old school wresting" and wrestling's history (e.g. he loves Harley Race and has Harley's respect), so he knows the way for the industry to survive is to value work-rate/talent over appearance.
