I'm not being ugly though to you as a person - I think you're, well.. we're awesome.

I was there when Eli Manning won in the Swamp but was out of town for the Tebow loss.

Not being disrespectful, but while the schools are conference opponents they're not really rivals. Florida has rivalries with Tennessee, Georgia, Florida State. Ole Miss has rivals in the western division.

If I was ESPN I'd hire Antonio Tarver to follow around UNC in the tournament. Then every year they got knocked out Tarver could ask Williams,

"You got any excuses tonight, Roy?"

Chances of him getting date raped in that ces pool of douche is pretty high. I'm surprised the guy is out why roll the dice like that?

Setsuna 03-22-2013 07:09 PM

PLAY DEFENSE. WTF?

'Hamas' Jenkins 03-22-2013 07:09 PM

I'm glad to see a team that understands the need to jack threes in this situation. Your odds of winning are extremely low. Unless you have a guaranteed dunk, shoot the three, even in transition.

DJay23 03-22-2013 07:11 PM

This is looking a little like Marquette-Davidson.

'Hamas' Jenkins 03-22-2013 07:13 PM

Starks killed their momentum by taking off-balance three on the right wing. If you're gonna shoot a three in that situation, and you should, the best play is to pull up from 25+ feet out and let your momentum help the ball to the basket. You almost always get a clean look that way.

stonedstooge 03-22-2013 07:13 PM

Yup. That team has some legit athletes. These upsets are going to become more and more common as the product exists in this discombobulated state due to the one-and-done rule.

The team was a top 8 team in country. He put his team in a position to succeed. I usually feel that if a team has success in the regular season and flame out in the post season it has way more to do w the players or luck than coaching.

The OAD rule is reeruned. It's hurting college basketball and it has hurt players' careers in the NBA more than anyone think or care to admit. It's rare that these OADs amount to anything in the NBA because they DIDN'T STAY IN SCHOOL TO HONE THEIR SKILLS AND BECOME BETTER MEN. I don't wanna hear about injuries they can happen any time, and I don't wanna hear about it will hurt a player's draft status. If he's good, he'll make his bank no matter where he's drafted and he'll only get better. Which leads to this: players should stay for three years. It's up to the NBAPA though and they won't do it. They're just as crooked, corrupt and greedy as the NCAA. They want it now and don't care if it hurts players' careers. I know a lot of people say just let the kids go straight to the NBA. Sure, go ahead. We'll see what happens to more than 70% of your careers. JMOs.

They've been prohibitive favorites in every one of those losses. The flaw is with his system and his coaching, which allows mediocre teams to hang around.

With the athletes Georgetown can get, to run a system that takes the air out of the ball is inexcusable.

'Hamas' Jenkins 03-22-2013 07:37 PM

In a perfect world you'd have an advisory board full of guys in the know who could make a decision on whether or not a player was actually pro-ready. The LeBrons of the world could go directly into the league, but the other 95% of OADs couldn't enter for three years.

Given that will never happen, the rule should be completely rescinded, because it's the worst of both worlds.

He worked there? Most of the players were assholes, but the Detroit players were pretty cool. As far as the football players were concerned, AJ Ricker was awesome, he would recognize me at the Voo and shit and talk to me. Justin Gage was real cool too. Brad Smith was a really nice guys as well. Clarence Gilbert was pretty low-key but cool. Mike Anderson always had a weird aurora about him. He reminded me of the guy from the Jefferson's except stone cold. Quinn came in ONE TIME and I can't remember if he even ate, but I doubt it lol. HUGE coke head. I also was in the terminal at the airport with Pinkel, but he was playing with his granddaughter (as it appeared to be) on his i-pad so I didn't want to bother him. He flew coach though and him and his daughter in-law (again that's who it appeared to be) they even set in separate areas of the plane.

Western Kentucky really doesn't look that overmatched out there. Kind of like the Georgetown game... wasn't like they played way over their head that half. In fact they probably left too many points out there on the floor. They could be up by more. Doesn't look like a 1-16 game talent-wise at all.
