Did the NCAA ever bother mentioning to their refs that they outlawed horse collar tackles? I can't believe how many non-calls I've seen on them this year.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 10:14 PM

Mecca, if you want some world-class reerunation, you should read some of the gems from the people pimping Bradford and Josh Freeman in this thread...

They have that messed up rule that you can do it between the tackles. Did it happen there or in the open?

Only a pansy would complain about a horse collar penalty not being called. Do us all a favor and go start a gymnastics thread.

I think Freeman would be a solid QB in the NFL, he just needs more coaching. That being said, I do see him being a 1st rounder QB if he was to declare for the 09 draft. And that also being said, I'd still take Stafford over Freeman when the choice occurs.

Josh Freeman is a scouts dream...pimping of him isn't that bad.

There's not really any prime QB prospect for 2009. Stafford has the tools and the ability, but I think he needs another year in school.

If T.O. doesn't get hurt in 2004 on a horse collar tackle, the NFL never outlaws it.

Mecca 10-25-2008 10:23 PM

Stanley Havili...one of the best FB's in football college or NFL.

Mecca 10-25-2008 10:24 PM

Also how about that wicked block on the blitzer by Stafon Johnson? LJ could take some pointers...

No, that's not as objectionable, but the same Bradford shit over and over is wearing me down.

Freeman doesn't have a lot to work with, but he has had it pretty easy with some of the D's he's faced so far. Even with that being said, if you look at the game that he had against Tech, for one, he showed flashes, making great throws in traffic, but he also had a lot of instances where he couldn't complete it unless a guy was pretty much running free.

I think he's the kind of guy who projects well to the next level, but he's probably going to have to sit for two years, as he's got some mechanical issues that need ironed out.

milkman 10-25-2008 10:26 PM

Gotta say that pass was pretty nice given that Sanchez didn't have his feet set.

Easy completion, but it still had some zip on it.

If Roy Williams didn't injure 10 people with it, that's true. That's also how Priest hurt his hip.

Yea but natural ability think Joe Flacco, and I think Freeman is more ready than Flacco. Freeman is huge, has a huge arm with good moblity.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 10:27 PM

He's the kickerrrrr.

Pablo 10-25-2008 10:27 PM

That was pretty sweet.

Go Zona!

Flacco's problems were more competition-based than mechanical, though. That and his wisp-like frame.

Riley Odoms 88 10-25-2008 10:29 PM

You guys are missing a classic, one-run game in Philadelphia.

My FSN is showing some bullshit. Best Damn Sports Show Top 50 Special:cuss:

Pablo 10-25-2008 10:30 PM

Head-scratcher...

Would the Chiefs have been better off trading up and grabbing Flacco instead of Albert?

Oh well, I suppose we can always look back fondly on 2008 as the BCE(Brodie Croyle Experiment).

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 10:30 PM

Hypothetically, if Freeman did declare, I'd see him probably being picked in the 35-40 range, barring a team trading up and reaching ala Flacco.

What's the deal with Joe McKnight? He's really been a disappointment.

SC has 5 RB's, so they use them all and Joe is really small he's about 185lbs.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 10:39 PM

Sanchez just lowered the shoulder.

kids got heart

Pablo 10-25-2008 10:44 PM

NOOOOOO!!!!

I'd went a solid week or two without seeing a FREECREDITREPORT.COM commercial.

Now that song will live in my head for the next few days. And I can't make them stop. I hum them constantly, and I can't make it go away. Damn you catchy ad jingle.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 10:44 PM

Anyone else ****ing hate those Saw movies?

Mecca 10-25-2008 10:45 PM

I like the ad with the sir mix alot song.

Yeah...I made a couple posts in the Saw 5 thread.

Senseless fucking gore movies piss me off.

"Oh, I loved Hostel.."

"Oh yeah, I'd love to stick a screwdriver in your throat until your voicebox looks like deviled ham."

Then tell me how much you like gore movies.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 10:48 PM

Can't say I've been terribly impressed by SC's line.

I like all of their ads.

I can't make myself turn the channel. They captivate me, and I sincerely enjoy the jingles.

And I don't fucking know why. I don't want to. I don't like singing "I shoulda seen this coming at me like an atom bomb" at 7 in the morning in the shower.

I just can't quit.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 10:50 PM

Havili's gonna end up as an H-back.

He has more value as an H-back, IMO.

LOLZ...he mist it.

Pablo 10-25-2008 10:59 PM

Acura also has the absolute worst commercials nowadays as well.

Nothing is worse than the douche commercial where the hipster guy driving an Acura is walking into the restaurant to his uber-cool crowd and it says something along the lines of "Luxury is finding a rare grass-fed steak in a red leather booth".

O-f*king-K.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 11:00 PM

Well either way, in the NFL he'd be valuable with his versatility you wouldn't have to carry a FB and he could give you so much more than just FB stuff.

I could see him filling a Kimble Anders type role for someone.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-25-2008 11:11 PM

That was a pathetic 4th down attempt.

Mecca 10-25-2008 11:12 PM

Pablo 10-25-2008 11:15 PM

lolcats ball again.

Pablo 10-25-2008 11:16 PM

I really need to form a beer-league softball team called the lolcats.

We would fucking dominate.

Pablo 10-25-2008 11:19 PM

Jesus, how many times can this inept Zona offense give the ball back to USC?

fucking pathetic.

Coach 10-25-2008 11:19 PM

Great punt by Zona.

Coach 10-25-2008 11:20 PM

Wow.

Coach 10-25-2008 11:26 PM

Jeez, USC is having a little issue on protecting the ball....
