Comparing Mike Glennon to Elway?

ROFL ROFL ROFL

Ace Gunner 01-23-2013 11:50 AM

I saw him play in los angeles that season. He was amazing. Of course, the Rams were lambs too :D but the tix were comp and booze was free also. I recall a korean strip club adventure afterwards too -- close to disneyland, much better adult fun.

you got to be kidding. that was in response to SNR's question on QB trades that resulted in a championship etc. If you look closely, you'll note Elway's "Colts" card then Elway playing for the donkos.

tony77 01-23-2013 11:51 AM

I still think tanney should be given a chance. He could be like Farve. I see alot farveness in him.

ChiefMojo 01-23-2013 11:52 AM

Yup Glennon has put together two straight good days.

Elway wasn't traded in the traditional sense.

That's weak sauce.

Your opinion is baseless. You haven't seen Tanney actually play. Don't give me that trick shot video bullshit. And don't tell me you know all about his work at Monmouth. That, too, is bullshit.

tony77 01-23-2013 12:25 PM

SNR- Has nothing to do with the trick shot shit. I have watched game videos of him. Again I have my opinion you have yours I don`t care what you think . Regardless what level a player is seen playing at thats not bs. Look at Kurt warner. Coaches look for talent anywhere .

I watched Tanney throw some insanely accurate balls at training camp at Missouri Western. (meaning every throw was nails).
I'd be willing to keep him on the team during the preseason and give him at least 1 preseason game.

If it wasn't for our inept coaching staff/GM last year, I'd say that Tanney just can't learn the playbook or something... but with Polio running the show, who the fuck knows.

Brett Favre didn't have moxy.

He grounded quite a few as well in the game that he wasn't even pressured on. He just didn't have enough mustard on the ball for whatever reason which has been the knock on this kid all year is that he makes these stellar NFL throws and then decides to look like a PeeWee QB. Just very inconsistent.

The club that RunKC and BlackBob are in:

Anyone But Geno

RunKC has literally pimped every top prospect in this draft EXCEPT Geno.

Shameless really. He pretends to be objective but obviously isn't.

Yep.

He'd rather have Mike Glennon than Geno Smith.

He's either being deliberately contrary or he's stupid.

I haven't ruled out the latter.

Frosty 01-27-2013 03:11 PM

I finally figured out who Glennon reminds me of.

Derek Anderson.

Tall, big arm, immobile and wildly inconsistent. They can go through periods where they make amazing plays and then turn around and look like dogshit, especially if they are getting pressure.

It's not a perfect comparison as Glennon probably has more overall talent and is a little more accurate but I see more DA in him than Flacco.

But some impressive/interesting numbers here by Glennon...

RunKC 02-02-2013 10:12 PM

Scary considering Glennon's team had like 30+ drops on the year.

Even with that, IMO, he first fit Reid's offense as well as Wilson or geno. Seems more coryell e Perkins than wco

Except adjusted he is still three points higher than the next.

It's just that Geno is a professional "Drop off to Tavon" guy.

Looking at that, I'd love for the Jags to somehow get Wilson and then bring in the Pistol. Assuming it's still viable next year.

O.city 02-03-2013 12:02 AM

Absolutely can't draft geno after seeing that. Dude is a fourth rounder at best.

Any one but geno right?

O.city 02-03-2013 12:05 AM

Can we trade for Luck? Maybe give Indy 10 first round picks and the Kansas side of KC? LMAO

O.city 02-03-2013 12:10 AM

And it is enjoyable to see chiefs fans, who have never ever seen their team have a franchise qb of their own, be this concerned about whoever the top qb is.

It's fine run, I get it. You don't like geno and anything that might be a negative to him is trouble but anything positive is bullshit and made up and we can't listen too it.

It's cool. Hope we don't draft him.

Luck is te only type of prospect a team should ever draft in the first round

If this was last year, Luck would easily be the guy no questions asked. We'd be in business for sure.

O.city 02-03-2013 12:15 AM

I think runkc would rather us take bray or Manuel at 1. Less risk more upside. Numbers don't matter

O.city 02-03-2013 12:18 AM

Yep luck is the only qb type prospect you should draft. If there isn't one available, just wait and play whoever is the cheapest at qb until you get in a situation to draft a luck.

It will eventually happen. But don't ever take a risk on a guy. That's how the good teams do it

Ha. I understand this is a joke but Manuel and especially Bray carry more risk than nearly anyone in the draft as far as QB's go. Of course risk is based on round value though.
