Definitely Akroyd.

Also, at 1:41, a female voice says, "Oh my God." Pretty sure that's Weaver.

Sounds like Aykroyd using his serious voice:

40+ years later and the "ignorant slut" comeback is still funny.

Will come as no surprise given my avatar that I'm going to see the new Ghostbusters tomorrow night.

Excited but also nervous. That 2016 version sucked and I'm hoping this is at least entertaining and funny.

Paul Rudd.

It's going to be good.

Deberg_1990 11-18-2021 01:12 PM

Everything I’ve read so far is that it’s good, but it has no laughs. How do you make a Ghostbusters movie that’s not a comedy?

Tribal Warfare 11-18-2021 08:32 PM

Iit's definitely entertaining outside of the chubby Asian kid "Podcast"

Ecto-I 11-19-2021 01:12 PM

Ok saw it last night. Was definitely entertaining and waaaaay better than the 2016 impersonation of a Ghostbusters movie.

Lots of throwbacks to the original. Although I will admit that the movie is slightly held back in order to fit in all of the throwbacks for the fans.

I'd give it a B.

Going to see this tonight, I'll report back...

I know I’m in the minority, but I actually thought the 2016 Ghosbusters was pretty funny.

Flame away….

I completel7y agree. I don't understand why everyone hated it so much.

Um, because it was not clever in any way shape or form? Because it was trying hard to be laugh a minute funny, and failed miserably? Because it was poorly constructed and felt like they were just making up all their lines? Because it had 4 gals who are otherwise very funny but they ****ing sucked in this?

I mean, if you liked it fine I guess. I was excited about it...and then I saw it. What a piece of shit. Top that with all the "Oh, it's just a bunch of misogynists losers who live in their parents basement who hate it" crap after it flopped. No, people hated it because it was unfunny as hell. **** that movie.

I'm hoping this one is better, and it's a low bar for sure.

An early positive review.

Got tickets for tomorrow afternoon. Really looking forward to it.

Its a fun romp, the definition of popcorn flick

As others pointed out, maybe not as funny as the oldies but its a good time nonetheless... Rudd was fine, but I actually thought the child actors outshined him

The end brought just a hint of a tear to the corner of my eye

Spoiler!

I give it 3.5 of 5
