I'm really surprised at how many people are picking Bray and Hogan over Murray.

Hogan throws a flutter ball. He was an interesting option as a future backup but with Foles, we no longer need that.

I've just been waiting for that moment for Bray to show he's more than a big arm and I haven't seen it.

Murray has had a solid preseason throwing. Has to take better care of the ball but that's a small concern for a young pocket QB.

Most of the people, myself included, that had Bray instead of Murray did that before the first preseason game. I don't think that there are very many at all that still feel that way.

Seriously, why in the **** do you keep a roster spot for a long snapper ? I mean that's all he does. Keep an extra TE for that and teach him. Long snapping isn't that ****ing hard to do. I do it all the time. Just seems to me you could use a player that can benefit the team moar !

Fixed.

Williams won't make the roster. Too many drops in camp, and nothing thus far in the preseason to warrant keeping him.

Robinson had a nice special teams play last night, but he's far from a lock in my eyes. He may be able to sneak on to the practice squad as I know teams are weary of his off the field issues.

Hog's Gone Fishin 08-21-2016 10:25 AM

Robinson will make the roster. you don't trash a rookie drafted that high

I don't like it either, but apparently it's harder than it looks. I've seen our staffs try to free up the spot, but in the end, that LS is always on the roster. I remember how we lucked into Jared Allen. He was drafted because he could play linebacker and long snapper and free up that spot. Then he turned out to be a great pass rusher and they didn't want to risk his hand getting hurt long snapping. I don't think he ever snapped a single game. Speaking of that, when was the last time a long snapper got hurt. Is that really a concern?

Because Long Snapping is an art and it is super important, otherwise the ball is sailing over the punter or kickers head or so low that the punts or field goals are getting blocked.

I agree with that roster completely. To see it fall any difficulty at this point would surprise me.

Milk, you have 55 players on your roster

Exactly for a whatever the league minimum salary is you make sure that shit is perfect.

There is no reason for us to keep 3 qbs on the active roster.

1. We don't have a developmental QB worthy of protecting. If we did, we wouldn't have signed Foles.
2. Hogan will make it to the PS.
3. How many effing years are we going to wait on Bray. It's over folks.
4. I like Murray, but frankly he isn't seeing the field with Foles in the fold.
5. Not having a 3rd QB allows us an extra LB, DB, TE - Which frankly will see more playing time.

Travis, Flemming, Mauga are all > Bray or Murray

Hell I'd rather have Knile Davis then a 3rd QB.

Plus Dion Lewis of the Pats is still hurt, we should swing a deal with them with one of our RBs.

I think Knile Davis could do it just fine.

The problem with cutting Murray is that Foles is essentially on a one year deal. Murray has progressed each year, is cheap and the Chiefs have him until the end of 2017.

Spending $7 million on Foles next year to back up Alex Smith seems a little excessive, especially when they'll need to pay Poe and they currently only have $4 million in cap space.

Plus, as I've said before, I can't imagine an Andy Reid coached team with only 2 QB's. If something happens to Smith, scrambling to find someone off the streets that can run his offense behind Foles would be next to impossible.

And Hogan looked awful last week, so I seriously doubt they'd want to promote him from the PS. Blech.

Danguardace 08-21-2016 12:51 PM

Is anyone else slightly underwhelmed by Albert Wilson (seemingly) retaining his #3 WR spot? Given what Reid can do with TE's available I guess #3 WR isn't as important but still not a big fan of Wilson; not particularly great before or after the catch and I would have hoped one of the new WRs would take that spot.

Or is it just me?

I've walked back on Mauga.

Neither Wilson, March or Alexander look ready to start.
