I sewed a dog blanket for my greyhound.

So, I live in NE Ks. 10 acre lil farm place. Moved here in 11/92. Place needs dogs, no fences, no collars, dog heaven. Want, and still do, large dogs. Adopted a Greyhound off the track. Max was 5 yrs old at the time. My first, true dog as an adult. He was wonderful. He didn't know how to do steps. He couldn't lay out in the sun in the yard for 1 yr comfortably. I got him 2/93 and, in KS, it gets cold. I didn't have the space for him to be in doors all day.
So, with his fine, thin fur, and because I can sew (a bit) I free hand sewed him a blanket (too me a week and too much money). I used "Duck" cloth that tents were made of for the shell. The interior was made from window drape insulation with the reflective side facing his skin/fur. Measured and stitched well with clips. In the end, it didn't work very well, he walked around like a corn cob was up his butt and finally ended up burning it.
So bite me if I made a dog blanket.
