I don't hate watching Quinn play because he's not Cassel but he's probably even worse than Cassel which is hilarious.

What a beast

InChiefsHeaven 12-23-2012 03:50 PM

And he had 2 games this year, both against Oakland, where he had like 20 yards total or some shit. Damn. Even with the bad games the muthafugga still kicks buckets of ass.

CJ has never been as good as Charles. Never. He's a guy who depends on big runs to have decent YPC. Take his last game for instance. With his big run, he averaged I think 5.8 ypc. Take it away and you have 1.4 ypc.

With Charles, he averaged 10+ ypc today. And even without it, he'd still average 6.7 ypc.

CJ has never been able to do that. Charles can consistently run for 4-10 yards. CJ consistently runs for less than 2 yards and then breaks a 80 yarder to boost his ypc.

ok I disagree

CJ was a much hungrier runner his first two years in the league...

Now he goes down too easily and shies away from contact. CJ is a guy they should compliment with someone else these days. I also don't really understand why their coordinator no longer sets up screens for him or uses him as a receiver but whatever.

But yeah...CJ and JC used to run a lot alike.

It's a shame he had those couple bad games or his numbers would be even better.

Agreed. The only real hole in JC's game is TD's.

How is that a hole in his game?

Risk/reward

He has 3 rushes of 80+ yards for TDs this season.

I'll take that with a few fumbles.

Hootie 12-23-2012 04:10 PM

I would say he has some ball security issues...

he was always more of a power back than Thomas Jones...the fact TJ was our short yardage/goalline back was always maddening to me.

Shit...I'd say he's a better goal line back than Hillis, too...being 240 lbs and running right into 350 lb lineman isn't effective goal line running...Charles has vision where he can score from 80 or 3 where guys like Hillis can't

For some reason, Daboll doesn't like to run him vs Oakland.

Only 15 carries for both games.

No more than Peterson.

I'm not complaining.

I'd say if he had one flaw that's probably it...and other than the very beginning of the year he seemed to have pretty much solved it.
