You people bashing Kobe are ****ing stupid. Michael did the same shit before he got a good team around him. Why pass the ball to somebody who is going to miss, when you know Kobe is going to make it? His teammates WANTED him to get as many as he could last night. They did everything they could to get the ball to him. Kobe's performance inspired the rest of the team to tighten up on D, just so they could get it back for Kobe. Did any of you acctually watch the game or just posting to sound really stupid?

Kobe has never shot 4/40 or anything like that. Shooters have off nights every one of them do especially when you have as many people guarding Kobe as he does.

Yea I do actually, do you. It wasnt cause of Fox, Fisher, or Horry, it was because of teamwork why they won, but Shaq was the leader then, he was there commander and chief.

You shut down shaq and then Kobe takes over, but those 2 were the main purpose for the rings.

Kobe cant do things himself and after this post i am done with Kobe. He's a thug, he's a ball hog, he's a gangster, he's a rapist, he is no good player that does his best to bully and intentionally injure other players.

ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL Thank you for exposing yourself even though it was pretty obvious already. ROFL

I lost what respect I had for Kobe when he deliberately landed an elbow into another players jaw while running straight into him.

A Talented player........ but a stupid brain. IMHO, Intentional fouls to infict injury are reason to be banned from the NBA for a year .

That's all I was saying sans the caveats.

Like I said, I dont really remember the exact details, heck, it might have been Iverson. I just remember hearing something about one of the more famous scorers in the NBA having a really bad night.

ROYC75 01-23-2006 11:58 AM

Again, Phil Jackson will try to mold a team around Kobe like he did to Jordan in Chicago. Kobe is doing the same thing Jordan did early in his career. This is what Kobe wanted when Shaq was around, to have the ball more in his hands......

If anybody can do it, it's Phil Jackson.

Demonpenz 01-23-2006 12:19 PM

It's a ****ing team game but if your other plays suck at scoring then they need to be teamates and do what they do best at. Set screens or pass the ball. Just because you don't shoot the ball doesn't mean you can't be involved with the game.

How bout Shaq?

Did you lose respect for him too when he put an elbow in the side of Andrew Bynum's face?

It was payback give me a break. I have never seen you bitchin about pitchers hitting batters for payback. Now I know where Juniors tainted viewpoint comes from. When Kobe came in the league haters were all about talking about him being soft because of his background. He had no street cred and was a mommas boy. Now he pays someone back and he's a thug who should be kicked out for a year. Give me a break you haters are killing me man. There is nothing he can do that you will give him credit for. The fact that junior still thinks he is a rapist says all we need to know about how you are judging him.

Personally, I have never liked Shaq. He has gotten away with his fair share as well....... Monkey see, Monkey do ........

Playing tough is one thing, to have an attitude and intentionally to cause physical harm to another player is grounds to be punished.

WOW  Just WOW .....

# 1 ... I do not believe there needs to be " PAYBACK " in sports, period.

# 2 ... I do not think it is right to have pitchers throwing at batters, never have, never will..... see rule # 1.

# 3 .... III and I don't always see eye to eye... Ref : Thread, " I wish DJ would lay my Dad out." True, he does look up to me from time to time and at times, something I say rings a bell inside of his head, but tthose are rare.

Now for the rest, Yes, Kobe was soft when came up, the NBA is a big boy league, it is tougher, rougher and faster than college ball is. It is more flamboyant and the fans love it, kids see it and the game is ever changing because of it.

With kids seeing it, is it right to teach them to play that way, to purposely cause physical injury to another player ?

Sorry, I don't see the good in this.

Money plays a big part in these players lives and they act like inmature kids on and off the court.

Next time, remember, I'm old school when it comes to sports, play fair and let the talent win the game.

Does anyone know if it's going to be on espn classic? I wanna see it. Just amazing.
