No doubt, Clark hedged all bets with this hire. But then, the same can be said of the Pioli hire, and therein lie the workings of failure for the Chiefs. Clark needs to get his shit in line and stop treating the Chiefs like an investment that can never go wrong -- which, for Clark is completely true by virtue of the NFL Corporation's revenue structure combined with his father's initial meager investment into the team.

But for the sake of fans who have endeared decades of embarrassing performances, these policies & truths have all but provided a counter productive outcome throughout the team's existence and Clark is the only person charged with the responsibility & authority to change this.
