Stop settling.

Who are you talking to?

I'm not "oh well" or understanding on either situation.

I have been resigned to Ofodile leaving for quite a while. That writing has been on the wall for a few months.

The Davis twins hurt. Talented, big kids that I hope Andy Hill is still dug in on. They were huge early favorites to Mizzou but we didn't get them locked up early enough and the Nebraska offer swayed them.

The Davis twins were much bigger misses, IMO.

Lock is going to realize he committed too early and open his recruiting back up, this is why we can't have nice things.

Because Mizzou

It's especially irritating because if there's one thing Mizzou should be able to sell to recruits, it's that the Tigers' staff will prepare them to be NFL linemen.

Sheldon Richardson, Aldon Smith, Kony Ealy, Ziggy Hood, CJ Mosely, Aatiyah Ellison, with Markus Golden and Shane Ray waiting in the wings.

Even less-recruited guys like Michael Sam, Stryker Sulak, and Domonique Hamilton have gotten looks in the NFL after working with Coach Kul.

Well said. I agree. There's no excuse for it. There's a reason they're missing out on all of these guys. I'm having second thoughts about locking pinkel up.

Update:

OL Coach Bruce Walker (and waste of sperm recruiter) is retiring, for good, this time.

My guess for his replacement is current team GA Nick Oetterbacher, who has been with the program for a while. I believe he played at Washington and got connected to Pinkel through that coaching tree.

Omari Stringer chooses Indiana over Mizzou. You just have to laugh.

Pepe Silvia 07-01-2014 09:42 PM

btw someone on SEC rant made that outrageous claim about Lock but it irritated me because it can possibly happen if Beckner doesnt commit.

Was not a priority target and was not highly rated, either. I don't get the outrage.

It's not the player that pisses me off, its the fact he would go to Indiana before Mizzou. **** this recruiting BS. Why did they make the move to the SEC if they can't ****ing recruit? All I hear is it's Mizzou we can't get good players. Fine then don't make a bold move to a conference like that if you can't handle the expectations.

A two star recruit from Chicago suburbs chose a Big Ten school. I don't really see the outrage.

Your freak out is a bit much in this case.

They're going to offer 100+ kids a year. They're going to miss on kids that are high priorities. They're also going to not sign kids like Stringer, who was not a priority (hasn't even been mentioned since his visit 2 months ago on PowerMizzou and is a mid-tier 3-star recruit).

He might have a Mizzou offer, but that doesn't mean they'd take a commitment right away.

Rivals lists Missouri having offers out to at least 130 kids. Even if they weren't taking a smaller class this year (they are), they wouldn't accept commitments from 130 recruits. I'll let you deduce their reasoning.
