I watched Trouble with the Curve last weekend and really liked it.

My only beef with Pontypool was lack of action.

I'm a huge zombie nerd; and I enjoy watching zombies (assuming the infected in Pontypool are actually zombies) devour human flesh as anyone else. Unfortunately this movie had none.

However, it was nice watching a different type of zombie movie. A breath of fresh air.

Yeah, it's pretty good.

watched this just before Christmas and watched it again last night. damn good. I loved the Dogtown and Z-boys documentary and Bones Brigade picks up where D&Z left off. Stacey Peralta directed both of those and he is the common link to both skateboarding teams. this is on netflix instant streaming and is available for download from multiple sources.

9/10

Watched Silver Linings Playbook for some damn reason. What a weird piece of shit. At time's it had the uncomfortable feel of a Curb your Enthusiasm episode. De Niro was pretty awful. Like he wasn't even trying. Brief moments(Jennifer Lawrence), but overall I didn't like it much.

I liked it a lot.

De Niro was awful? LMAO

DeNiro was hardly awful. Definitely a good movie, would recommend, also saw it at the AMC on Ward Parkway. Hadn't been there before, reclining seats are great.

Life of Pi was entertaining.

I had no expectations or knowledge going into the film; was kind of thrown for a loop with all of the faith and religion shit. Not that it bothered me, it just wasn't what I would have expected from a movie cover containing a little Indian dude on a lifeboat with a tiger..

Spoiler!

De Niro was awful. It's like they said "OK, just do your Fockers character, and maybe add in the completely unbelievable angle of being a football fan too." Terrible. Didn't work at all.

Overall the movie was reeruned. The characters weren't very believable. The script tripped all over itself. Few of the events made any logical sense. I didn't think it was an accurate portrayal of a bipolar person. And it's no small wonder that Hollywood is doing self fellatio over it.

:spock: Fockers character?

He's playing a guy with OCD.

LMAO Fish will NEVER be a successful movie critic.

Horrible assessment.

If you didn't like it, that's fine.

It's like you didn't even watch it.

Fire Me Boy! 01-19-2013 02:07 PM

Just watched Mama. Not terrible. Decent enough horror flick... relies on too many jump scares, bit sufficiently creepy (at least for the $6 I paid to see it).

Silver linings playbook was great. Funny, heartbreaking and uplifting. Cooper and Lawrence nailed it. JLaw is smoking hot.

I love her. Quick becoming one of my favorite actors.

This. And she is at least this point a sufficient actress. Unlike other hawties like Megan Fox who couldn't act their way out of a paper bag.
