I got all horned up tonight, and ended up watching tranny midget porn in SD and blew my load in 30 seconds.

What took you so long, Clayton?

Yeah and I guess one could say that he made solid decisions. No bonehead plays, which is the fear of most I would say when we talk about Mahomes’ negative possibilities.

The overthrow to Kelce was a mistake. He’s done that a few times early in games, same as his Denver INT.

Think it’s just him getting the nerves going and settling in.

I have to say those Amerson penalties were just DIRE. The defense was holding up extremely well before that happened but after that they just went flat as **** and that's pretty much where we lost the game. The run defense was pathetic at times I have to say but I guess that's to be expected with Ragland and Hitchens not there. Mahomes? So many folks seem to expect him to come out and throw rockets with every snap, but I thought he was well measured and had a few decent throws. The limited minutes he got though means his performance really doesn't mean much. We've already seen him in a real game situation against some very good players, so tonight really is nothing.

Anyway back to the game and In essence had the better of the game after they scored their second TD. And I was very impressed with some of the fringe guys tbh. Neimann with that brilliant stop, Speaks put the pressure on, Litton was throwing dimes in that last drive, Amaro looked very impressive I thought, Ellis got involved late on, Mckenzie was good, Darrell Williams was very impressive and Smith had one good run back from a punt etc etc.

Also want to mention Robinson who simply carried on his form from the Titans game. He really does look the part and I think he'll end up being very productive for us next season. And lastly that O'line need step it up. Mahomes was getting touched way too much for my liking.

All in all it was a good outing for the guys and no doubt their performances will get better as the weeks go on.

My biggest concern was with the OL. The DL got the better of them way too often.

Red Dawg 08-09-2018 10:39 PM

The OL is crap. They were tonight for certain for Mahomes. They will ruin shit real fast. Why can't we get some decent guards. Maybe instead of over paying for Watkins we could have given our QB better protection. Cam is pitiful as always and needs to be gone.

Steve Nelson is dogshit and Staylor has been pushing this turd for 3 years now

The same offensive line we had to start last year for the most part. Who plays LG is the only change. Morse got hurt last year too.

I’m confused as to why the DBs weren’t pressing much at all early on when supposedly that’s what we were supposed to be getting back to this year...

Unless they were going extra vanilla on defense too.

Classic Sutton, keeping his plans and scheme close to the vest.

Same OL as last year. Smith seemed to do fine, for the most part, playing behind this same OL.

Mahomes is going to have to adapt his play and learn to speed up his internal clock.

It’s too hard to judge anything from an Andy Reid preseason game.

Just re-watched the game.

My winners:
Xavier Williams - has some great run defend snaps.
Ben Nieman - savvy, smart, and gutsy. Once he gets stronger and can shed blocks a bit better he could be a gem.
Kerwyn Williams - tough little bugger who plays every snap with 100% effort.
D-Rob - solidifying a roster spot

Losers:
- Starting secondary minus Fuller. Too many penalties and easy receptions.
- KPass - watch how his legs go dead once he punches/engages. He was dogshit.
- Eligwe - has all the tools but no toolbox. Bad angles, breaks down when he should just “hit it”.
- Starting O-line. Two lacklustre series with little push in the run game and blown protections on Mahomes incompletions.
- Tim Wright - a drop and a bad penalty. Amaro should be the #3.

One encouraging thing is that Breeland Speaks will be a player, and soon. He is raw as hell, but his power/speed combo is enticing, and you can just see he has some “dog” in him...

One thing, you can seem to ALWAYS hang your hat on, this Offensive line can never line up and beat their opponents man on man!:(:(:(

It looked like one of those passes you need to drop over the short coverage in a pocket, as Kelce had defenders around him, requiring a bit of "touch". The pressure on Mahomes didnt let him fully step up and deliver the required "touch", imo.:hmmm:
