Seriously....LOL. So what you are doing is comparing KU BB attendance to BB attendance at traditional FB schools?

How about comparing it to UK basketball which is really a better comparison.

Yes, I'm comparing KU's packed student section to Alabama's 1/3 empty one. Are you going to address the question as posed in the WSJ article or just avoid it? What's their problem down there?

As for Kentucky, sure. We can discuss that too if you'd like. I'm guessing KU's student attendance is just as good based on the grounds Kentucky can't do more than 100%.

At Tennessee apparently it pays to be a AAA member

Let me ask it again...why compare BB to football? Doesn't seem logical.

As for the question in the article I can address it...not really figuring you can, so here goes. In many cases they tickets are sold but any number of things happen. Students sell their tickets to (gasp!) make some money and the person doesn't show. Sometimes the students might have conflicting schedules with other collegiate activities...there are many explanations, just befuddled why you couldn't figure it out on your own.

As for Kentucky....just wondering how many games you have been to at Rupp in the last few years?

BYU plays MTSU tonight. Turd of a game. BYU is winless on the season other than blowing out Texas.

Don't blame KU for being ahead of the curve.

None of which are happening at Kansas. Weird. I guess the Alabama kids are broke compared to Kansas kids, and have a ton of things to do on Saturdays in October.

Rocky Top is in a world of hurt. They are broke, having expanded way past market demand and hiring loser after loser to kill fan interest. They're finished as a regional power for a while:

Their financial situation sucks. Sounds like they've been sending over $10,000,000 worth of athletics revenue to the academics side each year for a while now. They just stopped doing that, so they'd better hope that they can pay down some debt with that cash and the SEC Network dough.

Do you think Alabama should consider doing Groupons geared towards their student body?

If they are interested they could always ask Stanford, Louisville, Kansas, Penn State, or Syracuse. All college football programs that have benefited from working with Groupon.

Considering that the tickets aren't going unsold, but simply unused...no. That doesn't even make sense. In fact, I'd advise Alabama's football program to ignore any advice from Kansas and its fans.

Gotta feel bad for Saban. Guys on a historic run and he has to beg students to show up. Sad.

Prison Bitch and Bambison might have the Guinness World Record for the world's longest dutch rudder going on.
