Was considering one with a 6" barrell. I started off looking for .45 Colt longs last night and was fixated on the Colt Anaconda. http://www.wallsoc.com/images/800x60...nda-661536.jpg |

I hadn't looked into the Anaconda though. Is it still in production?
|
Too scary looking. Needs to be banned.
Reported. |

May have to settle for the .357 Python if I have too much trouble finding an Anaconda. I've seen some going as high as 2k. Wouldn't mind going all Rick Grimes in the back yard with either one. |

If that's what you're implying......then I'll have to go ahead and report you. |

I had a chat with my new pal at the gun store and told him to put a case in the back room and give me a call when he gets more in and I'd drive over to pick them up. Who knows when that will be, but I will give you a heads up. You still need to come over when you're in town one of these days and pick up that .500 brass. You can have all that loaded up by the time we hit Bridger, so you can drop large trees. |

w00t!
I scored 250 rounds of brass UMC 9mm ball & 200 brass rounds of UMC HP for $155. .34 cents per round is a fantastic deal. |
I currently own a Finnish Mosin Nagant. Made somewhere between 1930 and 1933. From what I can research there were roughly 33,000 of them made. I bought two tins of Bulgarian ammo for it a few months ago. I gave it a good cleaning about a month ago as it had not been handled in a while. I plan on shooting a few rounds through it shortly.
Last Wednesday I bought a Para 1911 GI Expert Stainless. I put 50 rounds through it on Saturday. Pretty smooth shooting gun. Was very pleased. I don't shoot well but managed a 5" group from about 15 yards or so. I was pretty pleased about that. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...tStainless.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...tter/45ACP.jpg |
Are we nearing the end of the insanity? I stopped by Cabella's in ICT this morning, they had at least three AR-15s (DPMS?) for $890 and .308 ball at $41 for a box of 50.

Seems like production of everything gun related is ****ed up right now. I just got a call from Comp-Tec telling me that my new holsters will be delayed, since they can't get the leather from their supplier to make the backing. I probably won't get them until the middle of next month.
What the ****, are we out of bullets AND cows? :shake: |
Cabelas has been releasing some .223 ammo along slowly. I was able to get 100 rounds of the Herters for $46.53 with shipping. I would have ordered another 5 boxes, but didn't want to pay the $8 shipping again.

Got an email from precision ammunition to let me know that my 1k of 9mm should ship next week
SQUEEEEEE! |

In fact, just got an email today telling me they are ready to be picked up. |

I bought a Remington R1 enhanced the other day and when I was out the gun shop the dealer was on the phone with Davidson's I asked him to find out how long it would take to get a Colt New Agent the sales rep from Davidson's told him they might run out of manufacturing metal for the guns before they fill all the back orders. If that is true that is insane. I live in PA and the Cabella's around here doesn't have any ammo they have deli style ticket wheel and they call your number just to look at guns or scopes you can't find ammo they sell out immediately I go there and to the 2 walmarts around the way every other day to try to find some. Hopefully this all ends soon I can't shoot on the weekends cause I don't now if I will get any more ammo to replace what I have.

Yesterday, I received my order of 1,500 rounds of Silver Bear 5.45 x 39. :thumb:
And today, I put in an order for 2 crates (4,320 rounds) of Bulgarian military surplus 5.45 x 39. With shipping included, it costs less than 18 cents per round. |

SW M&P 15-22 HK MP5 22 I like that the charging handles are realistic from the normal 10/22 types anyone ever shoot either of them? |

After shooting 1000's of 5.56 rounds, I just about ripped the charge handle out of his 15-22. LMAO |

Can someone tell me what a reasonable cpr is for 7.62x39. I mean... cost pre-craze. I'm finding some at 40cpr and have no idea if that is expensive or cheap. LOL

Ok, I don't own a .22 so can someone please explain WTF there is such a run on .22 ammo? I understand the run on .223 and .40 but not .22. Educate a brotha, please.
|
oh...and, my brother has a guy that stops by his work every few days to pick up the metal shavings from the machihe shop; is also a CCW instructor; got us set up for the 3rd weekend in April.
FINALLy getting it. Just have been p utting it off forever. threw back the $ for it from the tax return. and my wife was actually the one that reminded me / made sure I did it. she rocks. |

you would think that somebody would make a 50/100/250 box of 7.62 x 39 one of these days. Especially now. lol

With the way prices have spiked on 9mm, 10mm, 7.62, 223/556, etc. ... makes sense to shoot.22LR until prices come back down. Everybody is hoarding the shit out of the stuff for that reason I believe. |
the guy my brother works with has 20k of .223 and 10k of 9mm.
JFC. where the F would you even keep that shit. |

$53 for 100 'value' pack of 9mm winchester 115gr white box? FML; used to buy that at Wal Mart for $23 as early as 6 months ago. **** that. I'll just stay at home with my Hornady home defense and wait my happy ass until the prices come down. I can't ****ing believe that. |

Seriously though it's probably not that much space. I have 2K 7.62x39 rounds and they fill part of two cabelas plastic ammo cans. Depending upon how heavy you load that's still less that 20 ammo cans, not really a ton of space. (and yes just make sure no one trys anything silly I am kidding about storing it near the furnace!) |

The 600 rounds of 7.62x39mm I ordered that were supposed to arrive in February now have a delivery date of October. ****. :shake:
I guess I'll stick to pistols for now. |

Got my .45 back from the gunsmith today. Shouldn't have any more trouble with the reloaded ammo. He also enlarged the thumb groove on the grip.
Off to the range tomorrow. |
My new toy... Marlin 336 in 30-30. 36 years old. I hope my wife looks this good at 36!!!

Nice. One of my friends picked up lever action that's very similar to that recently.
|
It's my first lever gun. Always been a big fan and knew I wanted a 336 but I dislike the new ones with the checkered stocks. Found this safe queen for a great price and couldn't say no.

you SOB.
that's awesome. **** YOU! :) |

This was the first rifle I ever bought with my own hard earned cash. Matter of fact I had to hand over my money to Bugeater & he had to buy it because I wasn't 18 yet. |

Guess it isn't always a 100% sure thing since they have still seen some guys with CCW's have to wait for hours to clear. I do plan to get my CCW just because it should help either way you look at it. :thumb: |
Nice lever action, corn fed chief !
Would love to have a lever action for my collection one of these days. Not sure which caliber I would go for. That one looks like a beaut. :thumb: |
