Stay safe CPers! Praying for you, whether you like it or not. :)

I'm really concerned for all of you guys and gals down there. For what it's worth, our whole church will be praying for all of you tomorrow. Be smart, stay calm, and know that help is on the way.

Assuming no rain or storm surge, would there be a difference in wind damage from a EF3 tornado and a Category 5 hurricane? Both would be the same wind speeds. Do tornadoes suck up debris more readily since they are more compact circulation or does it make any difference? It always seems wind damage from tornadoes is more severe from my unscientific eye

The highest winds of a Hurricane ever recorded was in 2015. Hurricane Patricia in the Pacific Ocean. 215 mph sustained winds. Unreal. It's just going to continue to get worse.

I bet this guy gets so much ass.

He should sell his voice to the national weather service so they don't have to use the stupid robot voice instead. His voice would really get people to evacuate and pay attention to the warnings

Hurricanes don't blow debris around as much because they're water based. Tornadoes are made up of debris

It's better than the Cat 5 but still plenty deadly. Good luck ya'll.

Thanks man. Our neighborhood has a few more trees in since it's a little older than Oakleaf. The way the wind should be blowing then even if one of the pines fell, it would likely just fall over into the neighbor's yard without hitting a house (knock on wood) and only knock out a couple of fence sections. Still waiting at Jax airport now, flight has been delayed close to an hour already.

My buddy lives in Eagle's Landing and has a condo in PCB. The plan was to leave Saturday morning for the condo. With Irma's shift to west they are staying home and riding it out in the OP.
