Robben is every bit as exciting as Ronaldo or Messi, imo.

Is it just me, or does Landon Donovan sound like a petulant little brat every time he is on TV

I'm still holding a place for the Dutch to go deep in this Cup.

So with these afternoon games, Brazil is not through yet, correct?

If Brazil loses, (I realize that is almost impossible) and Mexico and Croatia tie, then Mexico and Croatia advance, correct?

LMAO @ the Univision announcers doing the Chile vs. Netherlands match.

They've bitched about the refs. One of them was bitching about the camera shots of the women and the other one said for the women to send pics to him instead of being on camera.

Now, they're making fun of how to say the names for the Dutch players.

Heard on NPR that the Univision announcers have been pretty wildly racist/sexist.

Apparently, during the Uruguay vs Costa Rica game, the announcers would simply refer to Joel Campbell as "moreno" (a reference to his skin color).

It won't happen.

We both know it won't.

But if Brazil, Italy, England, and Spain were all out of this thing while the US moved on I'd call in sick to snort viagra and snap the whip for 24 hours straight...

LMAO Not surprising. If it was moreno then they were being polite.

I've also yet to hear the same announcer on the different matches I've watched.

One of the reasons he is at home and not in Brazil.

Landon Donovan looks like a puppet from Team America: World Police.

highBOLTage 06-23-2014 12:48 PM

The way the bracket is shaping up 2nd position may be more favorable in terms of competition and the weather should be hotter for those locations which could favor US conditioning.

I like Landon, but he seems like a socially awkward weirdo.
