Ah well.

Biggest issue was Ned, Hosmer, and Moustakas. Hosmer and Moustakas didn't trust him/believe anything he said.

It's prob time to DFA Alshittys.

A Boston Globe reporter wrote today that it was "likely" they'd re-sign Escobar, although I have no idea where he'd get that info.

2. The Royals have their scouts scouring the farm systems of organizations they feel they might match up with in trades for pending free agents Lorenzo Cain, Eric Hosmer, and Mike Moustakas. The prevailing thought is the Royals can move Cain the easiest, but he’s the one they’d most like to keep. They will likely re-sign shortstop Alcides Escobar, whose contract also expires after the season.

I threw up a little when I saw that the other day. If it's true, it speaks volumes about their new opinion of Mondesi.

Every day of this season makes me appreciate 2014-2015 1% more.

I honestly dont attend baseball games because the Royals are good. I attend the same amount of games I always have since I moved back here in 2006

I go to a baseball game to get some sun, socialize, drink beer and eat a brat. Them winning is only a bonus

That sounds about right and I'm unsurprised. Thank god Moose believed Boras, I suppose. The report about Frenchy taking a stand against Seitzer is always what bugged me the most about that exchange, especially with how horrible Frenchy was in 2012.

Swing at everything doesn't seem to work when trying to be a power hitting team. I don't care if Sveum gets fired, but most of these guys are vets. I buy streaky about as much as clutch. Streaky means only putting in the work it takes part of the time.

suzzer99 05-07-2017 04:59 PM

Can we borrow Mike Trout for a month just to see if this team is cursed? I feel like if you put a Royals uniform on him he'd hit 218/243/310.

One of the worst offenses in MLB history and one of the worst farm systems in all of baseball. We're losing 100+ for the foreseeable future I'm afraid.

Unbelievable 60 minutes is doing a feature on the Cubs basically kissing their ass for what the Royals accomplished the previous season.

I don't like it either, but there are probably 10,000 Cubs fans for every Royals fan.
