He's had a sexual fantasy about Branden Albert playing something else besides LT for years. It's pretty creepy. |
Mayock has a point.
It's going to be Fisher simply because he fits Ried's system. Welcome to KC Fisher. |

About 10 minutes into the Mayock mock...NFLN said "Miami is still trying to trade for Albert with the 42nd pick...the sticking point appears to be Kansas City seeking additional compensation for the left tackle"

@ArmandoSalguero: Dolphins WR Davone Bess is apparently on the outs and on the trade block. The blog post: http://t.co/c76Ja1gjUJ |
Fisher and Albert to Dolphins for their 2nd.
Get ready. |

I'll take that third and their high second. That could potentially give us Kevin Minter and Barrett Jones. |
Would you trade Albert for the Dolphins #54 and Davone Bess.

Central Michigan just produced Joe Staley and he's a top 5 LT in this league. So Pioli can shut his Belichick penis entrance.
|
According to USA Today Dorsey is considering 2 players on offense and 2 players on defense that are in there final four.
|
There was 2 scenarios just presented to me about what Dorsey wants:
1) The 42 and a conditional 3rd next year 2) The 42 and 54 for Albert and the Chiefs 3rd rounder. He's trying to squeeze them now that he knows the contract has been agreed to. The Dolphins have pinned themselves in a corner. |

Fisher, Joeckel, Jordan and Ansah would be my guess. |

Can we change the lexicon, this is perfect. Out = Pioli / In = Belichick's penis entrance |

I htink they are trying to get the Lions to bite and move up. Lions apparently covet Ansah.

Option 2 would be good since we still have a third rd compensatory pick
|
If they trade Albert, they still want to move down?

I'm just venting; I know it's been discussed ad nauseum, but its so ****ing stupid to trade a LT and draft a LT 1:1. I'm so freaking pissed...what am I missing here?
|
Anaconda squeeze!!!

So TBG any word on who will be the pick.
Yesterday was Joeckel and today was Fisher according to several reports. |
I get the venting, bitching, but god damn what is the harm in letting this play out?
If you wanted Reid as the HC and Dorsey as the GM, why not just see how things come together and if the result sucks then you can complain your face off. |

A 3rd next year is an extra pick over option 2. That would essentially make the trade Albert for Smith. Don't know that I like it, but QB is so much more important we got a good deal.
|

However, I have no idea here. I think Dorsey has done a nice job in creating some outside demand for this pick. I don't know who's interested or what is being offered, but I didn't think the Chiefs had a single option out of 1. |
Alright pre-draft plan:
1st pick- Geno Smith 3rd pick- Sex. |
Quote:
Ya maybe they're trying to get DET to bite. Mayock said no one knows what CLE will do. Maybe DET gets nervous about them leapfrogging for Ansah. Maybe we can get DET to pull a Matt Millen. |

The only thing I'm completely certain of is that Geno Smith will not be a Chief.
|
If we trade Albert though, are we still looking to trade down? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Couldn't agree more Bad Guy. |
Trade Albert for a 2nd. Trade down with Lions.

The ideal situation is ****ing the dolphins. Taking 12, 42, 54 for Joeckel.
|
I don't see why it would be so hard to trade them the 1.1 pick instead of Albert.
|
Quote:
I'm scared that we trade Albert and all 3 LT's are off the board by the time we pick at 5. |
Quote:
There's maybe a 5% chance of them trading down, but I think Dorsey explores everything. |
Quote:

If they will give us both 2nd's, just sit tight and take Fisher.

Albert for 42 and 54 and draft Joeckel/Fischer is a better deal. |

They obviously don't like Albert and like the draftee better. They don't want to pay him what he wants. Fine.
But like DJ said the other night, it better work, or they'll be out of here. If this blows up in their face, it could get uglier in KC. |

The draft hasn't even happened yet. You don't know what happens in round 2, who trades up down, nothing of that. I'm glad some of you were comfortable paying Albert. I'm also glad Dorsey isn't. |
Quote:
Pissing away 1.1 on an OT is still ****ing stupid, no matter the compensation for Albert. |
Quote:
But I don't think it could ever get uglier than it was last year. |

Jake Long, Eugene Monroe, Joe Thomas, Jason Smith all come to mind. |

Then they did the whole Alex Smith thing, which to most casual fans seems like more of the same. People dont' seem to be buying into all the articles and talk like they did with Pioli, they're all just hesitant. IMO, thats why their going the way they're going, trying to turn around so fast and quick. |

You realize that the Chiefs 3rd rounder is at 63, right? I'd rather have the 3rd round pick in 2014 than move up a whole 9 spots. I guess it would depend in large part on what's available there, but it seems like the draft flattens out again around 40; that being the case, I don't think the guy available to us at 54 is going to be any better than the guy at 63. I'd rather have the extra lottery ticket in 2014 if for no other reason than to trade round next year. |
