These were better than marital sex, but not as good as affair sex. I gave them a strong A, maybe an A-, perhaps a B++++... All that said, it's a process, and you have to know your audience, but you just cant rush them. And if you "grill" them you need to be really, REALLY good at grilling. It's very hard to get "grilling" to replace low-and-slow, and numerous visits to the grill.

them look good. we was happy today with grilled burgers and nathan's all beef dogs, macaroni and potato salad, baked beans, topped off with daughter in law's home made cheesecake.

It's Easter, you do what you want. Jesus did a jail-break, it's OK to go the burger route. If you were happy, the goal of the day was met!

my second attempt at a "prime rib" (actually a ribeye roast). Smoked 3 hrs with cherry and apple, then finished in the oven 30 minutes to brown.

Went old school last night with Taco night at home. Ground beef seasoned with onions, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, some sour cream, grated cheese, and salsa. Simple but awesome. I could have eaten 10 of the damn things.

We do this every couple of weeks. I love it

Baked ham (I made a glaze/sauce of brown sugar and coarsely ground mustard with multiple spices), mashed potatoes (scratch and seasoned or course), rice pilaf (with cauliflower, broccoli and mozzarella), fried cabbage (fried in bacon grease from bacon that was crumbled in and added onion/celery sauteed in olive oil) and a long sourdough roll (spread was a combo of butter, sour cream, cream cheese and garlic all folded together at medium heat) and freshly brewed iced tea. Ever year for Easter we have ham, potatoes, a vegetable and bread. I added in the rice just for the hell of it.

Baked tilapia rubbed in chili powder and fresh chopped ginger.

Corn stewed with green pepper and onion... garlic bread.

Fire Me Boy! 04-23-2014 06:12 PM

Grilled, marinated skirt steak with a bourbon glaze, and puréed ginger carrots.

Homemade chicken soup. I've been using ginger, peppers processed into a loose paste-like consistency and an extra amount of garlic for it lately, as well as using mostly dark meat, and it tastes great (ok "very good, but not quite great" according to the nearby critic, who's not a big fan of the added bay leaf).
