What are you guys hoping to get done this offseason? Will you trade one of your pen arms?

He's not good. He hits for zero power, has average defense, and isn't even fast. With his unorthodox batting style, he'll get his fair share of doinkers and infield hits, and he's a good bunter, but you really can't count him him to do anything to change a game.

Oh, and he hardly ever walks.

Need to improve your OF defense. He'll play every game asked which is nice, bu he's a Zero at the plate IMO

Thanks guys. Thought so. I'm not a fan of his.

I want more power in that RF spot, but Aoki brings more to the table than he probably gets credit for. The Royals wouldn't have made the playoffs without that hot streak he had right when we needed it. He had a huge sac fly to tie the WC game in the 9th inning.

Plus when he was at the plate in a big situation, I felt good about the fact he was always going to put it in play.

Where did Aoki hit in the order? We have our leadoff guy in Eaton.

1st most of the year... but the offense took off when they moved him to 2nd toward the end. He hit .379 with a .926 OPS in September. That's amazing for a guy who hits for zero power.

Started and played most of the year in leadoff. Played his best the last 35-40 games in the 2 hole

There's no way that would happen

With Howard's contract I can't see it happening at all unless the phillies were to eat almost all of it

Thanks, we do need a solid 2 hole hitter. Especially if we land VMart.

Aoki also has a reverse split batting. So you could go Eaton and Aoki back to back.

And really we don't need him to have power. We have Abreu, Alexei, Garcia, Flowers, and if we land VMart or Sandoval.

It doesn't surprise me Howard would be interested in playing in KC (His son is here and nearing high school age), but the Phils would have to be eating a substantial portion of his salary to make this work.

He's owed $60 million over the next 2 years ($25 million/year + $10 million buyout of a team option). I can't imagine KC would be taking him unless Philadelphia is eating at LEAST $40 (and maybe even 50) million of that contract.
