TCU stomped the shit out of a team that beat Bama already this year.
X beat Y and Y beat Z so X > Z is inherently fallacious, but I think everyone knows that.

TCU should have been in the playoff.
Ohio State deserved to be there and they proved it last night. TCU was not even a conference champion.

You mean squeaking by over the worst program in college football in the Pilgrim birds late in the year didn't get the committees panties wet...shocked!!!

TCU was a conference champion.

And Ohio State lost to a Virginia Tech team at home whereas TCU lost to Baylor on the road.

Don't let that get in your way though.

Ohio State won their conference outright. TCU finished tied with another team to whom they lost head to head.

Translated: I don't like the Big 12 because Texas butt raped Mizzou so I'm going to ignore that the Big 12 couldn't have a conference championship game.

Your bitterness to the Big 12 is ****ing ridiculous. Show me on the doll where UT touched you.

If the BCS still existed, the bowl for the crystal football woulda been 'Bama v FSU.

We have a long way to go in sports, where win-loss records still fool dumb fans. The fact the committee is neither transparent with their criteria nor accountable leads to laughably dumb selections.

If you were arguing that a team that couldn't even outright win it's conference deserves to be in over an undefeated team, you're a moron. Everyone knew Florida State wasn't very good, but they won all their games, and that's the way sports work.
You've made clear that "wins and losses don't mean shit" to you, and you'd much rather watch a computer simulation than an actual football contest, but let's not pretend that the rest of the nation is as ****ed up as yourself. What happens on the field is what makes sports great.

Has anyone PMd you to explain that Mizzou didn't win a New Years Six bowl like you stupidly claimed?

If the committee would have named Baylor, no one could have argued too strenuously with that at the time except the Buckeyes. Of course, today we know that Baylor didn't belong either.

Naming TCU on the other hand would have been outright ridiculous. No one thinks they had an argument except homers.

They aren't the worst program. There are a few programs with longer bowl eligibility droughts.

Longest bowl eligibility droughts, FCS

Program - Last Bowl
New Mexico State 1960
Eastern Michigan 1987
UAB* 2004
Akron 2005
Colorado 2007
Indiana 2007
New Mexico 2007
Florida Atlantic 2008
Kansas 2008

*No longer has a football program

I love how quickly you shift arguments on this stuff.

I could have dealt with the committee naming Baylor over TCU. Naming tOSU over TCU at the time was a chickenshit decision that was made so ESPN could have tOSU and all of their tshirt fans to pump up the ratings.

The committee didn't put the 4 best teams in the playoff which was their mandate.

But keep bitching about the Big 12 and being a conference cheering douche. It's a good look.

It's an incredible coincidence that the TCU homer is the only one on this board smart enough to see that the Frogs belong over the Buckeyes.

I'm far from the only person who has made observations like this. Just because you guys have your "I hate the Big 12 because UT put more than the tip in me" blinders on, doesn't make your observations true.

Your argument is basically just that you feel like TCU is better than tOSU. There's no data to suggest this. TCU lost to their conference's pseudo-champion, who proved yesterday that they didn't deserve to be in the playoff.

Baylor could have had an argument, but they shat the bed against the second or third best team in tOSU's conference. And since you like this style of argumentation, Baylor lost to a team that Ohio State beat by 2 scores.

I guess that if Ohio State beats Oregon, you'll still be arguing that they don't deserve a playoff spot?
