Hugo is a very good film. The 3D work is outstanding.

Might see two movies tomorrow.. I'm watching The Muppets with the lady friend for sure. I really, really want to see Hugo. I'm glad to hear that the 3d is good.

The Devil's Double was pretty damn good. Well worth a rent.

Went the oldie but goodie route, and watched Excalibur last night. Still one of my all time favorites, even if the effects are dated.

Someone earlier mentioned the movie 13 with Jason Statham and Alexander Skarsgard. Watched the trailer for it, and it looks damn good.

Speaking of swords and sorcery movies, I just saw the new Conan. It was utterly forgettable.

I was very disappointed in Super 8 but nothing tops Conan the Barbarian...what a ****ing abortion. Syfy quality acting and special effects...so bad I was compelled to watch it in the hopes it might get better even though I knew it was gonna blow in the first 5 minutes....

Conan's childbirth was a thing of legend! I remember thinking...that did not just happen...we are in for a ride!

Complete suckage.

The Mirepoix of any good slasher flick is Murder, Surgery, Tits. Early on, Chromeskull failed to capitalize on a perfectly placed shower scene, but admittedly provided for some decent facial surgery and some decent kills. However, the Matt Cassel like performance from Brian Austin Green nearly made the movie unwatchable. No intentially cliche one liners you'd expect from a movie like Chromeskull, just pure diabetus from start to finish.

Thumbs down.

I mentioned 13 earlier in this thread. It's a must see, the trailer is a true teaser but the movie is quite entertaining.

That's just what I thought. Then, the rest of the movie happened.

Caught Immortals this afternoon. It was like a 2 hour Honda Odessey commercial. I was waiting for some dude holding a bag of groceries to have imagined the whole thing while staring at his minivan.

Disappointed even with low storyline expectations.

the new muppets movie was great.
