That narrative is dead now, I'd say. LeBron is comfortable enough with what he's accomplished in his career that he has nothing left to prove to anybody and the Warriors basically have this league on lock as long as Durant stays in Golden State.

Lance Stephenson and LeBron? Holy shitROFL

We'll see if they keep Ball. If they do the Lakers will be entertaining if nothing else. LeBron, Lance and Lavar Ball all weighing in on things.

Stephenson good defensive player off the bench or spot starter.

I was hoping the Raptors would get him. They could use a player like that to help balance their softness (especially with LeBron out of the conference now and Boston/Philly not exactly being world beaters).

Lonzo
KCP
Ingram
Lebron
Lopez (possibly)

Kuz/Hart/Lance/Javale

They can match Randle. No cap space to sign anyone big. Would need to trade to make a huge upgrade. Looks like its set to me barring vet min guys in terms of getting impact players in the rotation.

Evans meeting with the Lakers. Woj reporting Leonard to the Lakers likely gets done.

FloridaMan88 07-02-2018 11:42 AM

Why is it assumed that Kawhi would automatically be a good fit to play with LeBron in LA?

Kawhi seems like a head case who is sensitive to criticism.

If he couldn’t handle the criticism/pressure from the likes of Tony Parker in small market San Antonio, how does he expect to handle the pressure from playing with LeBron (he can ask Kevin Love about LeBron’s “constructive feedback”) in LA?

Clyde Frog 07-02-2018 03:54 PM

The NBA is a ****ing joke at this point. Gonna take another break from the league for a few seasons until this garbage of players purposely stacking on certain teams to ensure winning stops. Its devolved from a sport into a popularity contest.

I wouldn't move them into the favorites to win the title yet unless they add Leonard. And then, you have to see what they have to give up in order to get him.

If they can hang on to Kuzma, I'll feel a lot better.

If this was the OMFGLULZ LeBron signs with Lakers thread I'd agree with you. However, this is the OS thread. Players "bitching out" and stacking teams for an almost guaranteed title has killed league disparity. If you're a fan of an outlier team, you stand no chance to do anything past round 1. That sucks.

Titty Meat 07-02-2018 05:07 PM

Rondo is a good signing dump that bum Ball. My only concern is they dont uave many shooters.

Titty Meat 07-02-2018 05:08 PM

Randle to the Pelicans.

Probably means Boogie to LA.

-King- 07-02-2018 05:13 PM

Lakers have a bunch of ball handlers and only 1 real shooter in kuzma and they might have to trade him if they want kawhi. Interesting moves.

Yup Lakers will physically bully soft ass Stephen and Stick Figure Durant.

Svi will come off the bench at the 10th man and a playoff legend will be born when he hits 5 threes in a game 7 vs the Warriors.

They can bully them all they like but at the end of the day, 3 points > 2. So unless they get some shooters, they can't compete with either the warriors or the rockets.

Of course they all want to win. They’re athletes whose whole lives have been about getting to the point they’re at now. Once in a while stacking is fine. One last chance to get a ring or what-have-you. It’s always been like that, in every league. One more piece to push a team over the top. Now it’s the top players, in their primes, stacking themselves on a few teams. There is 0 disparity in the NBA. Makes the regular season pointless where teams mail it in before the first tip off is even thrown up. Any objective fan would have told you the finals would be GS - CLE before last season even started. Knowing the outcome of a season before it’s even played makes makes the league stale.

Hard to say until the dust settles, but Boston looks like a sure thing out of the East barring Philly making some big moves. Houston/GSW out of the West.
