Shut the **** up, Nantz

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-11-2015 05:02 PM

I'm trying to figure out how someone makes everything from 3-20 feet and misses two three footers in four holes.

tk13 04-11-2015 05:02 PM

Great save. Going to be a fun ride tomorrow.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 04-11-2015 05:04 PM

Speith will look like Jim Furyk in 3 years.

ChiefsCountry 04-11-2015 05:16 PM

As a casual golf fan ie only watching the majors, heading into a Sunday with Tiger, Rory and Phil in the top 5 along with a record breaker on the top should be a fun ride.

Prison Bitch 04-11-2015 06:19 PM

Phil's birdie miss at 18 followed by Spieth's save really changed things. If Spieth was in the last group with Phil separated by only 3 strokes, the pressure would've been enormous. Now, it's going to take a bad day for Spieth to let anyone back in. He could shoot par 72 and pretty much clear everyone because there are only 3 guys behind him. Tiger & Rory are 10 back and have no more than a 1% chance of winning. If that.

GloryDayz 04-11-2015 06:45 PM

After 18 holes that, again, proved to me that I suck, I went home and got the son and got schooled about caring how much I suck, and how fun it is to watch a 10-year-old get giddy about driving it 175. Life is good, kids are better...

That's the fourth hole. That green complex is insane.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 04-12-2015 01:01 PM

Spieth plays golf with George Bush? I really hate this dipshit

TribalElder 04-12-2015 01:18 PM

Justin rose is a flamer

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 04-12-2015 01:22 PM

Spieth take 10 years to play third shot at 2. Par serves him right.

GloryDayz 04-12-2015 01:35 PM

Spieth is amazing!

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 01:36 PM

Spieth could play this course every day for the rest of his life and he will never have four consecutive days of putting like this again. The odds of him making that many 10'+ putts are astronomical.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 01:59 PM

Spieth stubbs it into the bank on five. Watch him nail the 25 foot slider.

GloryDayz 04-12-2015 02:02 PM

I thought he might...

Tiger down

TribalElder 04-12-2015 02:30 PM

Tiger now has an excuse to withdraw

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 02:30 PM

Rose is one lucky mother****er. He hit a terrible drive, fatted his second, and hit a bad putt and makes a par.

tk13 04-12-2015 02:31 PM

Tiger puts good contact on a tree root. Gonna feel that one for a while.

It wouldn't even be close to a Normanesque bed shit. Faldo beat Norman by 11 strokes that day. Norman didn't just lose a big lead, he got completely annihilated.

GloryDayz 04-12-2015 02:35 PM

OK, we get it, they can use those putters next year!

Go back to persimmon wood drivers and make all the more exciting!

Don't get me started. to think what has happened to me in the last 20 years.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 02:42 PM

Rose deserved that for the bullshit at 7.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 02:45 PM

That bogey likely does Phil in. Put way too much stress on his short game on that nine and it cost him.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 02:52 PM

Spieth with another significant break, like the shot on one which he hit too hard but stopped a quarter of a roll short.

O.city 04-12-2015 02:59 PM

Problem for the pursuers today is that there just isn't a 64 out there. It's a really big tough golf course and Sunday pins make it that much tougher.

Only way it happens now is Spieth dunking one on 12, 13 or 15 and or someone going eagle birdie eagle

O.city 04-12-2015 03:00 PM

How his ball in 9 stayed where it did, I dunno

Same thing happened on one. He's playing great golf, but for as well as he's playing, he's every bit as lucky.

Phil birdies to get back to -12 and tie Rose for second. He likely needs a 30 on the back to even sniff a chance.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 04-12-2015 03:02 PM

What's Tiger's Sunday scoring average at Majors these last few years? Seems like it's 74 or something

Sunday pins are the easiest ones at Augusta. 7,8, 13, 15, 16, 18 are all gettable.

From outside of six feet, undoubtedly. He's putting out of his skull.

O.city 04-12-2015 03:07 PM

I'd also like to see the alternate universe where tiger never leaves butch and never ever has hank Haney touch his swing.

seriously hank Haney is just a nitwit

O.city 04-12-2015 03:08 PM

On those greens there are no easy pins.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 03:11 PM

Jordan Spieth is really, really good, but he's not this good.

tk13 04-12-2015 03:11 PM

Spieth with another. A putting machine.

displacedinMN 04-12-2015 03:12 PM

-18

I 'would think' if he can par out, or get -1 on 16, he is good.

displacedinMN 04-12-2015 03:12 PM

how did phils shot not go in the water

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 03:12 PM

Phil with a huge break after laying the sod over his approach. Keeps him in the running for some more FedEx Cup points, I guess LMAO.

O.city 04-12-2015 03:14 PM

11 is such a hard golf hole.

O.city 04-12-2015 03:15 PM

That's true for the average golfer, but the slopes of the greens funnel the ball towards the hole on pins like 7, 13, 16, and 18, which brings birdies and eagles into play.

Sure, but there just aren't enough easy pins out therr to throw up a 64 like they need today. Add to that actually making putts therr, it's really difficult

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 03:18 PM

The thing I respect about Phil that will likely prevent him from finishing second today is that he's going to go down firing at every pin, like he was trying on 11.

If it were Jim Furyk in that spot he'd be playing for the middle of the green and lag putting near the hole to try and secure his top 3-5 finish.

And of course Spieth has a gap after that tee shot LMAO.

O.city 04-12-2015 03:19 PM

It definitely makes phil morr exciting.

O.city 04-12-2015 03:19 PM

The way it's laying therr for speith, just punch it down short, chip up, 2 putt take your bogey and move on

That and it also makes him not a coward like so many of these guys with inflated world rankings who can only go low at a major when the pressure is off of them on Sunday (Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, Dustin Johnson).

GloryDayz 04-12-2015 03:21 PM

Every time I see a course that's this perfect, I wonder how much better my game would be if nothing else changed but fairways and greens that as perfect as these....

GloryDayz 04-12-2015 03:23 PM

Serious question, with all the coin in these tournaments, why can't they get something better looking on the caddies than those bag outfits?

I think alot of that, for johnson and Poulter atleast, is more so because of swing dynamics. Both have to much hands and timing in their swing that tends to fall to shit under pressure. Of course, some of that is mental too

If you can deal with the pressure of people looking at you, tournament golf at this level is actually an advantage because the galleries keep wayward shots from going deep into the shit, they trample down a lot of the rough, and cameras can pinpoint basically any ball at any place.

Greens like that are certainly truer to putt on because you don't have goose shit or bare patches of grass deflecting your ball.

displacedinMN 04-12-2015 03:24 PM

Have not heard a lot of "IN THE HOLE" today, thank god

Masters rule

O.city 04-12-2015 03:27 PM

I've played a few courses they've played on tour. It's a completely different course with No galleries or grandstands etc out there.

I am certain not having galleries there to trample down areas or help me find balls cost me 5-10 shots at Turnberry and Carnoustie.

Hitting the shit into the hay is one thing, but when you're a few steps off the fairway and you can't find the ball or you don't have forecaddies it makes the game a hell of a lot harde.

O.city 04-12-2015 03:29 PM

I dunno that Rory is consistent enough with the putter to win at the masters enough to be an all time great.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 03:30 PM

The annoying thing about Spieth is how he talks to shots that are perfectly fine like they are going off the planet. Anyone else on tour says that the ball is in the back bunker.

It's also mentally exhausting. You don't want to have to worry about finding the ball; it's hard enough to focus on executing a shot on courses like that to feel like you're in a rush to locate a ball.

Hit more fairways.o:-)

O.city 04-12-2015 03:34 PM

Hoffman has to hit hybrid into 13, dj hit 9 iron.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2015 03:37 PM

Spieth literally is more likely to make a putt from outside 10' than inside 6'. It's like Steph Curry hitting 9/9 from 3 and going 5/9 from the line.

O.city 04-12-2015 03:38 PM

Spieth has to go for it, right?

O.city 04-12-2015 03:40 PM

ok, Spieth dunks it here, makes 7, phil goes birdie eagle?

If he dunks it, the worst he's making is six, and even that is unlikely, as he can use the backstop behind the hole to run the pitch back by the hole. Still, I'd rather see a fat hook into the woods.

Miles 04-12-2015 03:43 PM

Hell of a shot.

O.city 04-12-2015 03:44 PM
