Like, will the Phoenix issue never arise?

Will Logan ever meet up with Stryker and enter the Weapon X program?

Where does the series go from here? Does this end McAvoy and Fassbender's time as Prof X and Magneto?

Some other things of note:

It was cool when Quicksilver said his mom knew a guy that could control metal. That was a nice little nod.

I always thought Wolverine could die from drowning. It seems there is literally no way to kill him.

Where has Apocalypse been hiding this whole time? Maybe out in space chilling with the Celestials. Either way, it would be cool to see Magneto and the Brotherhood truly teaming up with the X Men.

No clue with Jean Grey. Who knows what that means..

Who says Logan hasn't met up with Stryker at that point in time? I mean, at the conclusion we see Stryker's team pull him out of the water right? Then they follow that with Logan back at the mansion? Am I remembering that correctly? I guess we don't know what happened between those two times..

It really looks as if they could do the same thing they did with Star Trek, and kind of reboot/rewrite a new parallel universe however they choose. Looked like Prof X is still doing his thing at the academy, but WTF knows with Magneto.

Wolverine isn't immortal. He can be killed by his Muramasa blade, according to one line of Wolverine comics.

Apocalypse. Ohh my damn. That could be crazy. He's immortal. Will we see mutant horsemen? Wolverine, horseman of death? Hulk, horseman of war? That could be a limitless story line.

The future-time Sentinels had the ability to absorb and use the powers of the mutants they kill. Like one of the Sentinels defeated Colossus, and gained his steel skin ability, then defeated Iceman and got his ice projection ability. And supposedly this was done via Mystique's DNA. Which doesn't really make any sense.

Colossus has been kind of a pushover in the movies thus far...

And there was nothing shown of the jump between the original turbine chested Trask Sentinels and the mutant power stealing morphing Sentinels in the future.

From what I remember, when the private asked Stryker what they should do with Wolverine his eyes flashed yellow so I'm assuming that was Mystique. Who knows what she did with him..

I'm familiar with the Muramasa blade in the comics but there's been no mention of it in the cinematic universe. They could pull that out of their ass at any time but so far he's been through a ton of conventional and unconventional incidents that would cause a normal person's death and survived. I'm thinking decapitation and/or complete complete incineration. Like, not a single molecule left.

Did you see the end credits scene with Apoc? There were four horsemen in the background.

I didn't see the sentinels "stealing" the X Men's powers, but adapting to them. Trask even said with her DNA he'd be able to design a sentinel that could do so.

Yeah, in order to kill Colossus, the sentinels appeared to cover themselves in metal but it was likely just a stronger metal. When they killed Iceman in the first scene, the sentinel super heated itself but it hadn't even been anywhere near Sunspot as far as we knew.

In the comics Mystique and Rogue were originally in a mother-daughter relationship. Mystique raised Rogue. I wonder what the original plans for Rogue were before they changed her part.

That would make the most sense considering his seemingly positive and friendly demeanor in the new timeline. History teacher? LMAO Makes sense though.

Nope, they can mimic irregardless - killing one of them has nothing to do with it. One of the Sentinels mimicked Colossus's powers way early in the movie, and he wasn't torn apart until the concluding battle at the mountain temple.

I love that it basically gave Bret Rattner a giant middle finger and completely undid the abortion that was X-3.

A few things I wanted to see, I didn't really get and I have some minor nitpicks with the thing overall.

I wanted to see Wolverine tearing ass through some Sentinels ala his famous quote "Hey Tin-Man. Im about to send you back to OZ......in pieces." Didn't get that because of the shitty bone claws business because the time period of the story was before Weapon X. Wolverine basically has one scene of badassery in this one against a few greaseballs and that was the extent of it.

I wanted to see some Sentinels getting wrecked by X-Men, but all you really see is them getting barely slowed down, and the faces of some pretty cool X-Men just getting flat out raped. Its kinda cool, like those old What-If stories, but it was a bit of a bummer just seeing them all go out pretty unceremoniously without them really getting any cool moments of tearing some shit up first.

Sentinels looked a bit too similar to the Destroyer Armor from the first Thor for me, all the way down to where the head opens up to fire the death beam.


Should have been Rogue's DNA that was used to "steal" and adapt to any mutant power. Taking Mystique's DNA should have just made them able to look like whatever they wanted.


Hank being able to "hulk out" I didn't really like at all. Moreover, if Hank could use the serum and still "beast mode", why could Charles not use the serum to walk and call up his psychic powers whenever he pleased like Hank could? Charles is a far more powerful mutant than Hank.


As said, nitpicky. But still a very well told story overall, and the fact that it corrects all the BS from the previous films is an awesome bonus. The possible stories now are limitless, including a Dark Phoenix film done correctly.

Loved the ending where everything at the mansion is as it should be, with cameos from Scott, Jean, and Rogue, and with Charles taking a peek into Logan's head to figure out what his problem was and realizing what he'd just been through.

...in regards to the serum usage by Beast and Prof X, in the very beginning they said X was basically overdosing to block out the voices. We then see the effect when Hank does the same thing. He overdoses, and the Sentinel leaves him alone since he is now human.

I love that they are finally showing Apocalypse. It's going to be amazing. I think that's a big reason they brought back the Phoenix was for the battle in the next movie. It's going to be a great way to end the X-men movies.

Im hoping we get the comic book battle between Magneto and Apocalypse where Mags magnetically rips his ass in half and says something like "For years you've gone on and on about how only the strong survive, so tell me again, just how strong you are." and walks off like a ****ing boss.

Since we know Wolverine ends up in Mystique's hands, I wouldn't be surprised to see that Magneto gets a hold of him and implants the adamantium. Who knows, maybe Magneto can do it with less pain/trauma and Wolverine wants it back?

I dunno, in this film lifting the stadium and when Ian MacKellan lifted the ship and threw it into the crowd of Sentinels so Storm could light the fuse, and then stopping the shrapnel from hitting the rest of the Xmen was pretty damn sweet. Of course he did miss that one piece of shrapnel but I think Magneto was the most impressive mutant out of the bunch in DoFP. Blink was cool, but Magneto was a boss.
