I absolutely hate Sam's sprinting form. Ugh.
He ran a 4.79. Who said that in this thread? Somebody give that guy a medal. |

Like I said, I'm putting it at 1.5 because I fully agree that we need WR help. With how little depth we have at LB period, let alone ILB, I'm surprised you aren't on board. Losing DJ in the middle hurts our defense far more than losing either Hali or Houston on the edge, and we have NOBODY there to fit into DJ's role in this defense. Quote:

that chris smith guy is jacked.

I take back everything I said about Chris Smith. Guy could totally handle OLB. |

But the coaching staff clearly does not. |
Totally missed Marcus Smith. ****.
Edit: Josh Norris @JoshNorris · 42s Marcus Smith first "unofficial" forty: 4.63. 10 yd of 1.57. Converts speed to power very well IMO. AWESOMEEE |

Why draft a WR? We have Jenkins and Hemmingway. See how stupid it sounds? |

Sam visibly getting along with the other players.
Is the NFL ready for teh gays? el oh el |

Powe has played very well in his limited snaps. |
Sweet....Tuitt is coming up in an interview. Very likeable guy.

Joe Marino @TheJoeMarino · 56s
Will Sutton ran 5.37. Not good. Eesh. |

So great that he's been cut and brought back....and cut and brought back. He apparently has played so well that he gets very limited snaps. I could be wrong....but passing on BPA because you're counting on a 6th round pick from the last regime is ****ing stupid. |
Quote:
But god, if we could get a legit slot receiver into this bitch, assuming Hemmingway/Jenkins could become a stable #2, we'd be right as rain. |
And guess what? If you draft Nix....we still have Powe. You move Poe to DE where he would dominate. Poe - Nix - Devito. You put Poe and Nix on the inside in Nickle and Dime.
|

He's flashed every single time he's been on the field. The coaching staff must just simply hate dealing with his learning disability -- not even kidding about that. |
Quote:
You want beef? We got beef. |
Kelcy Quarles and George Uko ran 4.9s.
Similar times for similar players. |
And I'm not advocating drafting another defensive linemen in the 1st round. Yes I know I have a Tuitt avatar. But if Nix is there at 23....and other WRs, TEs or safeties are gone....you can't pass on Nix.
|
I can't get over that Clowney time.
4.47. Holy christ. |

I'd take Hageman over any WR or TE on the board, if he was still around. |

Josh Norris @JoshNorris · 30s
Josh Mauro second "unofficial" forty: 5.16. 10 yd of 1.75 Mauro is now officially a late rounder. Might not even get drafted. That's super slow for 271 lbs -- you're going to have to ask him to gain weight, too. |

I can't see this coaching staff take their eyes off Beckham (Maclin) or Cooks (Desean Jackson). I think they are Andy Reid players. This coaching staff does love the trenches, but let's be reasonable here. |
Nix's second attempt. Let's go big man.
|
I just realized that McCullers isn't running today. Hm.
|
Quote:
Reason I don't want Nix is because we don't need a slow and fat guy. We need pass rushers. Give me an interior pass rush specialist over a slow NT any day. If you want a NT take McCullers or someone else and develop them later in the draft. Don't waste your only pick in the top 75 on a big and slow dude who adds nothing new to your team when there are a bunch of more impact players available at the pick. |

I think Reid is going to see how the offense fared in those last games. I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to give another full offseason of those WRs working with Smith in that offense. |

I really like Quarles.
Ran a 5.1, but looked great doing it. |
Schwartz's take on the combine:
Geoff Schwartz @geoffschwartz Feb 22 I trained for 6 weeks to run a 40... Know how many 40s I've run the last 6 years? Zero The 10 yard split is what matters. Explosion. Why? I barely bench 350. Who cares. Bench doesn't equal forceful punch @ShaneNFL: They should have linemen bench 350 instead of 225. Yes... I stand in place and punch someone 25x in a row. lol. Not true RT @PeteSmithWTFP: 225 is about dynamic explosion. I can positively say my favorite part of the combine workout was the drive to the airport. I was so glad to be done w/the process. |

Caraun Reid is built like a mother****er.
Here come Sam again. Prepare thyselves for the ugliest running form at the Combine. |

God I love Schwartz. |
same situation for me. i was EXPECTING clowney to run 4.4 high to 4.5 mid as he's been talking about it for a while now. i was not expecting donald to run anything even remotely close to a 4.6. i was expexting a 4.9-5.0. with a nice first 10.

CJ Mosley will not be working out today per NFL Network. |
Just line up and run.....****.

You posted that here just for me, didn't you? You knew it would ruin my day! :deevee: |
HATE his running form.
Keeps his body still, gets zero help from his torso, does all his work with his arms. Campanaro runs that way too. I hate it so much. |
He pops up.....erect.

Hey Sam.....watch Marcus Smith. That's how you should be running.

Sam does NOT look fast, has horrible running posture and technique, and it showed. Sad thing is, he could probably clock off a deed .7 or high .6 with proper technique and angle, his size is definitely not limiting him here. |

Marcus Smith second "unofficial" forty: 4.65. 10 yd of 1.60 Want. |

Not having a 2nd round pick this year is going to hurt us. ****ing hell. A 2nd round pick in this deep of a draft would be awesome.
/No Alex Smith arguments. |
I really want Will Clarke in the 4th now. Develop him to be a 3-4 RDE who is actually capable of getting around the corner. He just needs to improve his ability to bend and fire off around the corner, gets pushed wide too easily sometimes because of his height.
|
Argue with me all you want.....but if the Texans take Clowney.....they're ****ing reeruned.

Kareem Martin struggling in this space drill. Not looking like a good candidate for 3-4 OLB.
|
McCullers working the space drill! Looks terrible, LMAO. As expected.
FYI, I have no idea what this drill is, except I know it's testing these guys in space. So I'm calling it the space drill until I know the name for it. |
Kareem looked a little off in that drill, Mims looked pretty solid, surprised.
|
Louis Nix looks pretty damn good in the drill!
|
Quarles looked surprisingly fluid in that drill, one of the better ones so far IMO
|
Quarles looked pretty good in that space drill.
Caraun Reid looked A-mazing. |
Chris Smith is a ****ing beast, tore that drill up. Kareem is a super jumper, crazy. Marcus Smith had the best one so far IMO.
|
Chris Smith looks really good. I think he's a 3-4 OLB.
Marcus Smith definitely is. |
Uko looks damn good. Unsurprising.
Commentators talking about how amazed they are the Chiefs dramatically overworked Poe, lol. |

I think they both are setup for 3-4 OLB's well enough |

I think Chris Smith looks more like a Hali rushbacker. Marcus Smith is super fluid, looks more like a Houston rushbacker. If I had to sloppily compare them, that is. |
Josh Norris @JoshNorris · 4m
I wouldn't call Sam a "tweener." I'd label him a sub-package edge rusher. Don't ask him to drop. |
Flashing back to Poe's Combine.
Edit: They zoom in on Scott Pioli shortly afterwards. Credit where it's due. Pioli nailed that pick, and we all hated it. Tons of talk about Poe and the Chiefs. |

I want Aaron Donald round 1. This guy is so fast that OL can't keep up. He's strong, fast and has the desire to be great. We need this guy on our defense
