Jets looking to move up, Titans!

Tried to pm Argo but it says he doesn't exist as a user. Get at me, Titans.

chiefscafan 03-12-2013 12:55 PM

He changed his name for some reason it's now

something cooler is his name

chiefscafan 03-12-2013 12:58 PM

Ok time has expired bills on clock

chiefscafan 03-12-2013 01:02 PM

Jets titans have made trade

Details later

RyFo18 03-12-2013 01:26 PM

Jets send picks 3.9 and 6.166 for Titans pick 3.7.

3.7 Jets select Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama

After releasing Sione Pouha for cap reasons, we're very happy to bring on Jesse Williams to be our future NT. Williams was the best player available on our board and also a tremendous need, so we don't have any regrets parting with a 6th rounder to ensure he's ours.

saphojunkie 03-12-2013 04:43 PM

The Buffalo Bills select LB Khaseem Greene, Rutgers.

chiefscafan 03-12-2013 04:54 PM

Ok was pmd pick for titans

Titans take

DE William Gholston Michigan state

Sanka 03-12-2013 05:02 PM

With the 11th selection of the 3rd round the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Jamar Taylor CB Boise St.

sfchief 03-12-2013 06:46 PM

The San Francisco Fortyniners select CORNELLIUS CARRADINE DE Florida St.
1st rd talent torn ACL makes him slide
You can never have enough Pass rushers
He may or may not be able to drop in coverage but who cares Tamba can't drop worth a shit either.

sfchief 03-12-2013 06:50 PM

who do I pm and thanks chiefscafan for the Jonathan Jenkins pick because I really wanted him Bevis wasn't going to pick him.

chiefscafan 03-12-2013 10:12 PM

Not sure we need someone to take over saints or Vikings or does anyone want to pick up a third team any suggestions?

Sanka 03-12-2013 10:37 PM

Id be willing to take on another team.

blazzin311 03-13-2013 12:52 AM

I could take another team also I suppose. Seeing as how the Colts didn't have a 2nd round pick and are without a 5th round pick also. Being the genius that I am, I didn't realize this when I picked them. :doh!:

chiefscafan 03-13-2013 08:01 AM

Sorry sf had to take best available

Ok because blazzin had colts with not many picks he now has Vikings and because sanka said he's willing to take over saints I gave them to him.

Thank you guys let's keep this Rollin

chiefscafan 03-13-2013 08:12 AM

ArrowheadMagic 03-13-2013 08:31 AM

For what it's worth, I don't think it was that big of a reach at this point in the draft. I probably would have taken him with one of my three picks coming up. Dieon was even on record at the combine saying he thought Mathieu was legit and would eventually be a stud in the NFL. I'm also a bit disappointed Lemonier went off the board before this pick. I liked him too!

Not that I really disagree, but I don't think we can use Deion's opinion of him as anything. He sat down with the kid and it became pretty clear he was acting as his publicist in that segment on NFLN.

I definitely see what you're saying and usually I do take his opinion with a grain of salt concerning such things or players. However this time or some reason I actually believe him and think he may be right. Despite his possible character red flags that may or may not still exist, dude was an excellent very productive DB while at LSU. I think he can play corner or safety and is a bit of a ball hawk also. I can't really put my finger on it, but something about the way he plays, minus the elite speed, kinda reminds me of Charles Woodson.

Well, I am moving to Miami very soon you know...I might have to go to some Dolphins games now or something...could be fun to watch. You know they are going to air it out plenty with just Wallace and Hartline alone. :thumb:

blazzin311 03-14-2013 01:34 PM

Moving on now, this pick is a bit complicated for the Vikings because as I understand it, they are courting Greg Jennings today. I wish I knew whether or not they were going to sign him, because there were two players I had it narrowed down to for this pick. I suppose I'll proceed under the assumption that they will make their best offer to Jennings knowing they need all the WR help they can get at this point. So with that being said, the Vikings select...Jordan Poyer CB Oregon St.

You know what, I actually didn't think Ponder was that bad at times last year. It wasn't all sunshine, rainbows and unicorns, but he played ok I think and showed me a few things at times. Does he still need to improve? Ya, sure, you betcha he does, lol! That said, I wouldn't count him out yet as being the guy in Minnesota. They need a bit of help on defense and Ponder needs more weapons around him! They didn't have enough weapons around the guy last season, and now they are even more depleted on the offensive side of the ball. And for the record, my money is on Cassel being the backup! Maybe they will draft another QB and Cassel will end up being third string. I can't imagine any actual Vikings fans would be even remotely happy about the Cassel signing. Good riddance, at least the Chiefs don't have to put up with him anymore! I was really holding on to a bit of hope though that they might have traded him to the Vikes for a 7th rounder or something! But as others have stated the Bills releasing Fitz. might have lessened their chances some. In any case, glad he's gone!

sfchief 03-14-2013 02:17 PM

The Cincinnati Bengals select Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina
Adds good speed to the run game also provides a better check down option
for Dalton

blazzin311 03-14-2013 02:21 PM

Also I like how you put Jordan Poyer next to the Vikes, as a DB and not a CB in particular. I think that's a fair assumption whether you even realized or meant to do it that way. I think Poyer is more than capable of playing some safety as well!

PutQuinnIn 03-14-2013 02:39 PM

Redskins take WR Ryan Swope Texas A&M

blazzin311 03-14-2013 04:09 PM

Outside of Reggie Wayne and their two young TEs they drafted last year, I'm not so sure the Colts have any pass catching options that really strike any fear into the hearts of opposing defenses. So the Indianapolis Colts select...Da'Rick Rogers WR Tennessee Tech...he's a classic case of a 1st round talent but a 10 cent brain. That said, Luck needs more weapons I think, I haven't heard of them bringing in any wideouts, and at this point I think Rogers potential may trump any character concerns about him. Good value here for the Colts I think!

RyFo18 03-14-2013 06:49 PM

3.87 The Seattle Seahawks select Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse

We're sticking to our board here, and 1 year after we plucked Russell Wilson out of the 3rd round, we're doing the same with Ryan Nassib. We're shocked that he's available here, and while Wilson is undoubtedly the future of our franchise, Nassib will step in behind he and Flynn. Needless to say, our QB position is in good shape and we'll be grooming Nassib in the background.

chiefscafan 03-14-2013 08:01 PM

nice pick ryF018

blazzin311 03-14-2013 08:07 PM

Green Bay only has 3 safeties on their current roster who have gotten any real playing time and they already released Woodson. So I'd be willing to bet at some point in the draft they look for help at corner or safety. While Morgan Burnett is clearly a starter at FS, neither Jennings or McMillian has really grabbed the other spot. It's not that I think the Packers' safeties are that bad, they just don't have anyone proven outside of Burnett. So Green Bay selects...Shamarko Thomas SS Syracuse...while obviously lacking the ideal height that some teams might prefer, Thomas is a proven playmaker at the collegiate level whose instincts and physicality help to overlook his size.

ArrowheadMagic 03-14-2013 08:14 PM

NFL get your flags ready... There's a new enforcer in town....

3.88 the Houston Texans select..... Safety DJ Swearinger South Carolina

Physical safety that has coverage skills, a steal at this point of the draft.

ArrowheadMagic 03-14-2013 08:18 PM

PM'd whats his nuts... Argo..Something Cooler etc.

New England is going off the path a little bit here. They have a crowded backfield, but they see a player falling that has really been showing his athleticism lately, in addition to his size and speed. With pick 3.91 the NEw England Patriots select Johnathan Franklin RB UCLA

bsp4444 03-15-2013 08:43 AM

The Falcons need help on the D-Line and hope to address that need with an athletic player capable of using his hands well and chasing down plays. With pick 3.92, the Atlanta Falcons select Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina

Also considered DAvid Amerson, here.

I'll PM sfchief.

How he fell is beyond me. End of 1st talent. Kind of makes my next Panthers pick easier, needed another DT but hate drafting all linemen when skill players are a huge need.
