As bad as Jones got whupped, I bet his jackoff buddy in the turtleneck got it worse in the hospital bill dept... he was out when his head hit the wall, then took 5-6 or more undefended shots right to the face when they hit the floor with his head pinned against the wall

Looks like a bunch of idiots. If you can knock someone on their ass great but all this rolling around on the floor choking people out and stuff is some screwed up shit. That's why I don't watch MMA type stuff. It's kind of a mattbundle of sticks type of thuggery.

That's good advice. Especially if the ground is the bathroom floor of a crowded bar or whatever that place was. That shit looked as bad as the floor or the old bathrooms at Arrowhead when they had the troth.

I guess if you need it it's a really good skill to have. But my strategy of staying out of fights in the first place means that I've never had to roll around with a guy on a bathroom floor.

It’s a hell of a lot more efficient and useful than just throwing haymakers. Clearly the piss soaked floor isn’t an ideal location, but anyone who can grapple has a significant advantage over those who can’t.

A lot safer too. Getting knocked and smashing your head on concrete is infinitely worse for your health than getting choked out.

Even if one has those skills I think they would be better off avoiding altercations. And if you're a licensed? or certified? fighter I wonder if there is legal implications for throwing down on some suspecting dude. Kind of like a boxers fists being considered lethal weapons.

MMA is real shit.

Reminds me of the time the AAU boxing tournament was in town many years ago when I lived in Iowa. At the bar (Buliceks, if you Cedar Rapids) that night saw a bigger dude shove a smaller dude, then I saw a blur of hands as smaller dude pummel bigger dude with a flurry of squarely landed punches until dude went down. Blink of an eye. Turned out little dude was the lightweight golden gloves champ.
