They traded away two QBs who have looked pretty solid so far, even though they have a 40 year old QB. Then the Alex Guerrero thing. For a team that usually runs a pretty well oiled ship it's all pretty strange.

I stand by what I said when it happened...Shanahan threw the SB and allowed the NFL to complete the "Brady revenge tour" narrative. It was set-up with the TMZ-style courtroom drama...kept people engaged during the off-season. It ended with the biggest comeback in SB history...

He was compensated with a HC gig and a NE QB.....

Who trades both QBs when you have a 40 year-old starter..especially someone as pragmatic as Belichick. He contingency plans every situation...

It was a bad decision long-term, but if they looked at it and decided Brady could play another 2-3 years at a championship level, and they saw an opportunity to put Jimmy G far away in the NFC rather than watch him sign with the Jets...

Has been obvious that Belichick and Brady haven't liked each other for years. Don't see either one departing from NE, though. Both probably think they can out wait the other.
