And honestly.....most of the bbq around KC sucks. Maybe not compared to other regions, but for being KC bbq......most places suck in terms of quality and price. FFS, bbq used to be what you'd eat when you were short on cash. Now, it's the last place I'll think of. Shit, I'd rather have Thai food for the same price. Or some really good sushi. Because I know it won't suck and be pissed I dropped $15-20 a person for average food.

Aside from the random hole in the wall BBQ place etc. I think the BBQ in this town is seriously overrated.

That I remember: Red, Hot, & Blues. It was somewhat decent, not bad for a chain.

Honestly, I appreciate you expounding on your views. I have enough trouble defending Bandana's from KC snobs [when I'm not even comparing it to snob places, which I love as much as the next guy], without people thinking you're objective. ;)

And FTR, whatever you say about Bandana's overpriced isn't one.

Winslow's in KC. It's crazy to me how a place can have one of the best locations in the entire city and still consistently churn out absolute shit food and service.

Bandanas in Iowa City, IA. I ate it because I was hungry but I cried inside.
