I like Finnegan. I don't see any upside of him being a starter with his mechanics. They are the exact opposite of smooth. Hell, he reminds me a left-handed Aaron Crow.

They're def going to compete next year looking at their roster. No reason they can't win 85 games or so and maybe snag a WC spot. Is Jocketty still there? If so doesn't even do re-builds. A 5-starter in Duffy for a couple months of Cueto makes way more sense for 2016 than prospects. Plus their pen is awful outside Chapman so Finnegan already is an upgrade

Yep, he clearly did not think it through before responding.

Then again, what the hell does he know. He's just a talking head that covers it on the national level. He's not got contacts entrenched in either organization. Besides, I would bet he doesn't even know every guy on either team's roster - let alone versed on who and how good each organization's farm system is.
