Cards fans have never seen anything other than fair weather ...

I suspect, like any fan base in baseball (see the Yankees), if their team starts to suck for a prolonged period of time ... attendance would drop ... interest would drop

that is just kind of common sense ... was Jack Nicholson at many Lakers games this year? (he might have been)

Separate threads. Don't want to tarnish the "best fans in baseball" with the smell of new money.

(polite clap)

This. I have no interest in trying to be polite to the Tard fan base this weekend. No offense.....:D

Man, I would love to be out there for one or more games this weekend. But I'm not paying $50+ for nosebleed seats.

The Day Maxvill days were pretty shitty, which is usually what 610 cites.

kcpasco 05-21-2015 08:40 AM

Well Phillips kind of has to talk crap off the field because he can't beat the the Cards on the field.

You a Cubs fan?

Hootie 05-21-2015 08:46 AM

Cubs are my NL team ... can't watch them anymore since I don't have cable, though. Sucks, too ... since that team is fun to watch now with Rizzo and Bryant.

Hootie 05-21-2015 08:47 AM

I really hate the Cardinals, though ... because everyone around here are Cards fans and Packers fans in Champaign, IL. Pick a ****ing region losers.

Hootie 05-21-2015 08:48 AM

actually the biggest Cards fan I know who has lived in Urbana his whole life is a Cards fan and a Patriots fan ... you know, because he likes Michigan ... and Tom Brady went to Michigan. Yeah!

You choose to watch NL baseball? Wow, you are a masochist, I'm glad I only have to put up with it a few times a year.

Most people where I'm at are Cardinals/Chiefs fans. Don't know the history as to why that might be, but it's definitely what I grew up with being covered by local media. I fall into the same category. I was a Cardinals fan first, though. I competed in roller skating in my youth, and my dad always made our meets up in STL our family vacation. Usually went to a couple of games while we were there. As a Cardinals fan, it's pretty much my duty to hate the Cubs. :)

It's a weird life story but 1 parent lived in Overland Park and 1 parent lived in Champaign so my favorite teams are all KC/CHI teams.

But what about the strategy!

George Liquor 05-21-2015 09:03 AM

To be fair Hootie, most of my diehard Royals fan friends were Redsox fans up until last October.
