With as many commercials as they have the odds are pretty good.

Guarantee you if the Patriots, Jets, Cowboys, Broncos, Colts, Giants, and Eagles had consecutive picks, they would hold any commercial breaks until each and every one of those picks were in.

He started laughing and called me a " BS Chiefs Fan conspiracy theorist." THEN, when IT HAPPENED, he informed me that it also happened on the NFL Channel, cuz he switched to see if they were covering the pick. He took it back and said last year might have been a coincidence but I called it this year and it happened. I told him he has NO IDEA what goes on without an Elway or Manning on your team...

No joke, the NFL network literally cut to two straight commercial breaks after the Conley pick. Two. They cut to the studio, realized the Cleveland pick wasn't announced yet, and cut to commercial within a few seconds. They spent about 30 seconds talking about Conley.

Were you not there for the Mitch Morse pick? It was pandemonium.

It's ALWAYS been like that though, not including the year they picked 1st obviously. Im not saying it's a conspiracy, but i mean damn.

This. It got so bad in round 3 I pulled up 810's coverage to listen...

KCTitus 05-02-2015 10:20 AM

Watched ESPN on Thursday night, NFLN last night...I think last night was worse in total just because the TV coverage was so far behind the picks. In the end, I blame the NFL for purposefully dragging it out with trotting out no names to announce the pick (save for Kelly).

Did it really need to be done for every single pick? Every? Pick? OMG...

The NFL is so arrogant they take something that was cool, crank it to eleven and just absolutely run it into the ground until it becomes absolutely annoying.

Oh, and Chiefs picks = commercial time. I do think the networks are doing it on purpose.

Every single move they've made over the past 5-10 years has made it a worse experience.
I get that the NFL wants to make itself more accessible to the regular guy. But the draft is for nut jobs like us. Don't pretty it up. Don't over produce it. Picks, then video and breakdown, and the OCCASIONAL interview. They are going to lose all their viewers when twitter tells me the pick 10 minutes prior.

Vegas failed when they tried to make it for families. Take a hint.

Next they will start ****ing up the combine.

I meant the draft in general. Lack of trades = talking heads with nothing to really talk about.

Just wait.

One of these days Dallas, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, or New England will draft #1, and it will be the biggest AIDS infested pile of shit to ever exist.

FloridaMan88 05-02-2015 10:52 AM

Every time the Chiefs draft pick was in, it would seemingly queue up a 10 minute commercial break.

KCBOSS1 05-02-2015 11:09 AM

Did they ever even announce the Chiefs 4th round pick? My son is completely pissed. I had to come Chiefsplanet to find out who we picked.

O.city 05-02-2015 11:13 AM

Beat way to follow it now is on twitter anyway

MMXcalibur 05-02-2015 11:14 AM

I pay attention to the Chiefs picks, and that's it.

Indian Chief 05-02-2015 11:14 AM

Been a couple of years since I have watched the draft. Really no point these days. I have much better things to do with my time. Like posting here.
