This is a great suggestion.

I live in NJ so obviously I have different stores up here, but I went to the Raymour & Flanigan outlet store. (They have demo models, floor models, and items that are discontinued.) I got a dining room table that was a floor model. (A couple of small scratches but otherwise perfect.) And the outlet store has furniture models that they are essentially testing out to see if they would sell in their main stores. I got a couch for under $400, brand new and exactly what I wanted. So there are deals to be had if you look in the right places.

And the bed bugs come free!

Drive around during spring cleaning & get stuff off curbs.
