That I doubt. League loves pimping records.

For sure. They'll outlaw the forward pass as soon as he retires.

You're a ****ing idiot.

Andy's WCO won't live forever. There's hope.

I also think they changed the push out of bounds as well??? Changes about hitting the QB. Sliding rules for QB. There has been a ton of changes to rules to make it so QBs can play "better".

The push out rule change actually benefits the defense.

Not unless we trade a 1st round draft pick for him 2 years after he should have retired.

Manning is kind of the perfect storm. You have clearly one of the greatest QBs ever, and you put him on a team that plays in a dome, let him start from day one, and on a team that focuses their offense around the pass. He plays with the same great receivers for most of his career and is one of the most remarkably durable quarterbacks in history.

It's hard to picture any active player being able to do those things.

Except for the guy they replaced him with.

It will be Luck. QBs are touched less (it seems), and the league rules have changed and will continue to change in favor of passing and scoring. In 5 years time, 40 TDs will be much more common a number to see for top tier QBs, while the great ones push 50. Obviously that shit will add up quickly for a guy like Luck who will play 15 years (barring a terrible injury of course).

In 5 years top tier QBs will throw 40 TDs a season regularly, while the greats will near 50. Obviously that will add up quickly. QBs also seem to get hit much less, which means a star like Luck will be able to play for 15+ seasons.

KC better find itself a star, and right damned quick.
