Mrs. Doubtfire was my fav movie of his. RIP

On the other side of the coin was "Insomnia." It was an uncharacteristic roll for him but he played it well alongside Swank and Pacino.

He was like a belated John Candy, unreal, we're all going sooner or later.

RIP, i feel old...

I know what you mean...seems like all the actors or comedians I grew up with are disappearing.

I guess maybe it is. I had never thought about it before. And I'm not one to follow celebrities' lives so this is a revelation to me.

I refuse to believe it applies to Bill Murray though. :harumph:

I listen to the Nerdist podcast quite a bit, and Chris frequently talks about how other comedians get started. The idea of comedy as a coping mechanism comes up pretty frequently.

I miss John Candy. Who's Harry Crumb? was one of his best movies that wasn't mainstream.

It makes sense now that it has been brought to my attention. Just never something I thought about.

Pepe Silvia 08-11-2014 05:38 PM

What sucks is almost all of my fav childhood comedians have passed away now and the ones that are alive are older and not funny anymore like Eddie Murphy/Adam Sandler.
