We paid $63M for Cassel; he's worth it.

With the new rookie salary scale, money doesn't even enter the discussion.
I've said this in other threads. The only way you can say a QB isn't worth the #1 pick this year is if there is someone who is. So if not a QB, who? Even if you want to claim that no one is worth the #1 pick, someone is still going to be chosen first overall. What's the difference betwween taking a QB 5 picks early, and taking a LT or LB 5 picks early? Expectations? KC needs a QB. It's not like they can bring in a decent vet for significantly cheaper. |
Draft a QB #1 and call me in the morning

If a guy sucks, he's not "worth" the #1 pick

That's a pretty ridiculous statement. |

Naming a specific QB at this point is premature. They need a housecleaning first and then hire the right GM/HC. Then worry about getting the QB that fits the vision of the HC.
Luck, Griffin, Wilson, Tannehill, it wouldn't have mattered in KC this year with Romeo and Daboll. |

sometimes you just have to draft for need, and when you have 1 QB on the roster who was deemed not good enough to replace 2 guys that are not very good... Really, you figure out which QB you think is best, and draft him. No messing around.
