The guy who handled his sample didn't follow protocol and has since been fired. DJ is fighting it and I wouldn't be surprised if he beats it and is playing week 1.

So you're saying he's done.

I don't see why he would be done. His play hasn't started slipping at all.

Slipping from what?

DJ has never been a bad player. The guy can do it all and is a true three-down LB.

DJ is physically gifted and mentally deficient. He plays poorly in space, he gets washed out of plays and he tends to go for the hit instead of the tackle.

He has played 4 different positions and is going to be learning his 8th different system this year. Maybe the mental deficiencies are a bit overblown.

He can run with any back or TE, he is an excellent blitzer, and has played the majority of his career behind some pretty bad defensive lines, which makes his job much more difficult.

Yes, and he does run with them after they beat his coverage. He's not very good at it. He blitzes well when there is a wide open lane by play design. He lacks the mental ability to be a an excellent blitzer. Like Miller is for example. Speaking of Von Miller, they played behind the same D-Line last year. How did that work out for Williams?

It's official. Our DJ wins the DJ contest.

DJ is not nearly as bad as you claim he is. There are maybe 4 or 5 TE's in the league that DJ is at a huge disadvantage against, but against everybody else he can hold his own better than most LB's in the league.

Von doesn't play behind the defensive line. He plays on the line of scrimmage the majority of the time. DJ relies on the guys in front of him to not let the big guys get to his level. Von and DJ play two totally different positions.

Your DJ was a bust until last year.

A few fun facts about your Dumbass Jackass Williams. (out of 44 players)

33rd overall
37th in run defense
31st in receptions allowed
29th in yards per reception allowed
38th in TD receptions allowed
0 interceptions

Fortunately he made the top 15 in missed tackles, though.

Wrong, he had an excellent 2010 and a stellar 2011.

His first three seasons were decent. He led the league in tackles for loss in 2007.

He had a couple of down years but he was never close to a bust.

Yet, the Broncos haven't been in any rush to replace him. PFF isn't the be all end all.

He did have a good 2010, I think his picks against Kyle Orton made him a littler overrated though.
