So maybe you guys already know this, BUT it looks like the Patriots may have an entirely new middle three of their offensive line starting tonight. Our OLine has been GOD-AWFUL so far this year, and the center and two guard spots are a significant part of the problem.
So we may start not one but TWO fourth-round draft picks tonight (Stork and Fleming). For the first time ever In Arrowhead Against a Chiefs D that includes Hali and Houston Yeah....this could be interesting... |

There is basically a zero chance that Amendola has a significant impact on this game. Seriously. |
Not that you guys much care, but you may see presumed starting left guard Dan Connelly tap presumed starting center Bryan Stork in the leg before plays, particularly in shotgun. That tap is the start of the silent snap count, and is used to help a rookie center out. Connelly has been around for a few years now.

Reports are that the Patriots will be making major changes to their OL, with all 3 interior positions having new players in them.
Solder still at LOT Connolly moves to OLG to replace Cannon Stork starts at OC, replacing Connolly Fleming starts at ORG, replacing Devey So the Chiefs are going to be facing 2 rookies making their first starts, right up the middle. Poe could singlehandedly win this game for the Chiefs tonight. |

I will say this -- the Patriots MUST do something to fix their OLine. Their performance the last three weeks has been stunningly bad. "Can't win with this shit" bad. "WTF is going on here?" bad. Even if the rookies get pushed around, even if a miscommunication error leads to a strip sack that costs us the game, I'm good with this change. If these two rookies are upgrades over the pathetic performances we've seen so far this season, then the SOONER we plug them in, the better we will be in the long run. As long as it doesn't result in Brady getting injured, then let's do this and get those guys going. NOW is the time, before we run into the real meat of our schedule, and the intra-division games. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the best, but be prepared for the worst. |
As a Pats fan my biggest concern is obviously the Oline. However, some interesting news today:

Anyways, I still predict a close and low scoring game. Should be an interesting night. EDIT: well, looks like this has already been brought up. |
So Berry is out?... jeeez, whatever is going on with him is worse than they're letting on.
He was really needed for this one to help contain Gronk, they're gonna try to unleash him tonight. |
Dat suiting up tonight?

Go Chiefs!

He's about on pace to come back next week. We will be fine. Abdullah is doing pretty good so far this year |

Gronk was on tv today talking about how he's 100% again, and since he's their best weapon by far we can look forward to seeing a lot of him tonight, having Berry back there would make me feel a lot better about it. But I do like ThaVirus' idea of having Smith on him once in a while, he has the right size/speed combo to do a pretty good job of it IMO. |
