Goes without saying there were several Camaros involved

Ten and Core were two that came to mind immediately. Licensed to Ill, GnR, Pretty Hate Machine, and Dookie are up there as well.

Licensed to Ill wasn't their debut cd!!

Three weeks until the draft. What say you, Chiefsplanet?

I agree. That, coupled with the fact that the album was recorded on a 4 track machine in Tom Scholz's basement makes it all the better....That guy, for his time, was innovative as hell.

Have gotten the most mileage with one of the debuts already mentioned, probably. Aerosmith's first album was underrated.

Good one! I love their first album, and it really has a different sound than their big ones of that era--Get Your Wings, Toys, Rocks, Draw the Line.

Lot of great ones already listed and I have to add one

The Rainmakers,Newsweek magazine even called them the next great rock-n-roll band" after critiquing it.

I love Steely Dan so this is right up there with the best debute albums of all time IMHO:

I'm having a difficult time arguing against Illmatic.

...Erm not much into older music so I guess I don't really have a say.

Are you referring to Polywog Stew? That was really pre-Beastie Boys, at least what would become known as the Beastie Boys.

DMAC 04-09-2015 09:37 AM

Rage.
