I've slowly but surely worked my .40 cache back up to 1,000 rounds plus 100 or so already loaded in magazines.

My .223 stock is sorely around 500 rounds

Frazod 02-11-2013 10:09 PM

I am so lucky that my buddy got serious about reloading when he did and brought me along for the ride.

I also use SGAmmo, AIM surplus, and Surplus Arms and Ammo;

All three of those as well as palmetto have treated me fair.

Get ready to re-adjust your "stocked up" reference point.

At one time I was "stocked up" with 200 rounds of .45,9mm, 5.56, etc.

Now, if I don't have 800-1500 rounds ready (each)with another 4-5k in supplies, I get restless.

We currently have between 7-8k 5.56 bullets with 4500 pieces of 5.56 brass, and I am chomping at the bit to purchase 3000 69 grain Custom Comps just to calm down. WTF is wrong with me?

I look at the guy from "Doomsday Preppers" that had over 100k loaded rounds as prepared. ;)

I got very lucky buying everything in sight. My dad was stocked up on 55 VMAX, 52 Matchking, and 55 Nosler Ballistic Tips, too. The 40 grain bullets makes nice plinking ammo.

Getting all of that brass back before the SHTF was blind luck.

For once, I got in before the market shit on my head.

They did have some 22Cs (with the compensator grooves on top) that were marked "Cedar Rapids Police," but those sold out. I'm surprised he's able to sell those. Seems like somebody could raise some serious hell in Cedar Rapids with one.

I can't believe what a panic the current administration has this country in, it's ludicris. You got gun enthusiasts going batshit crazy loading up on anything and everything and you got john q. public who never gave a crap about guns now buying up stuff too. Throw in all the crap with the military and homeland security absorbing all the ammo and it's just insane.

So I just sent them an e-mail asking WTF is going on? I get an auto-reply stating how they fill backorders in order they were received, which is bullshit, and they won't cancel orders unless you ask them too, which is bullshit.

I ordered from here a week ago. Sure I will have to wait another 7ish weeks to receive them but it is a far better gamble than waiting to get a notification that something is in stock and is immediately bought out.

DO NOT BUY THIS.

It is MK 2Z 9mm ball ammo. That 2Z signifies that it has a very hard primer and it was intended for use only in 9mm submachine guns. Your firing pin MAY or MAY NOT hit the primer hard enough to cause the round to go off.

Only the 1Z is for pistols.

Its been a good week so far!

On Monday, I got the 4 AK-74 30-round mags I ordered last week.

And earlier today, I received my order of 1,000 rounds of Golden Tiger 7.62 x 39. And I have another 200 rounds that should be here early next week. PBJ

The next thing on my list is a couple of 1,080-round spam cans of military surplus 5.45 x 39. I heard that AIM Surplus is going to have some by the end of the week. I've been checking their website constantly so I don't miss out.

What kind of deal on the golden tiger and do you have any links?

I ordered it a few days ago from SGAmmo.com for $249 + shipping. They had a few hundred cases of it, and sold out in about an hour. Yesterday, they got a new shipment in, and were only selling it in 200-round lots. And they raised the price a little bit, and were limiting it to 1 per customer. If they weren't limiting how much you could buy, I would've gotten another case or two.

If you want it, you should sign up to be emailed when its in stock. Or you'll have to check their website all the time because its been selling out pretty damn quick.

EDIT: And I would sign up for email notification from Wideners.com. But I have no idea when/if they'll get more.

Frazod 02-13-2013 02:07 PM

The AK ammo I ordered should ship next week. I hope there aren't any problems with it.

Press Release: Olympic Arms, Inc. Announces New York State Sales Policy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights. One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms.

Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller - 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago - 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.

Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity - will no longer be served as customers.

In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York - henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.

If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerate to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions.

This action has caused a division of the people into classes: Those the government deems valuable enough to protect with modern firearms, and those whose lives have been deemed as having less value, and whom the government has decided do not deserve the right to protect themselves with the same firearms. Olympic Arms will not support such behavior or policy against any citizen of this great nation.

Olympic Arms invites all firearms manufacturers, distributors and firearms dealers to join us in this action to refuse to do business with the State of New York. We must stand together, or we shall surely fall divided.

Nah it's more like Russian roulette with a 100 round revolver. As many times as you try you still only have about a ~1% chance of getting the bullet!

No doubt. I was lucky enough to find 400 rounds of .223 yesterday at a reasonable price and bought it up. It's about like hitting the powerball these days. I was in a local store today and they still have hundreds of boxes of 9mm. We'll see how long that lasts.

Perhaps. Besides, I've actually been able to get last minute playoff tickets a couple of times.

Hell no, my wife would kill me if I spent 1200 on a rifle she doesn't feel I need.

I have a Sig 2340 in my safe and I'd bet that's going to be the extent of my weapon collection. She is terrified of guns. I want to get her a Walther p22 and get her out to break her from her fears. I'll get a pink one of thats what it takes, lol.

It took my wife 5 years to come around. Now she shoots the Berreta, 1911, and her LC9 like a champ.

Hasn't stepped up to the AR, but I do not push her. She will let me know when she is ready.

She was terrified of guns once upon a time.

So I finished the Colt 6920LE build and decided to trade the $750 Bushmaster straight up for an 85' Tri-Z 250 today.

Thank you Obama! :thumb:

Golden Tiger 7.62 x 39 in stock!

200 round lot or 1,000 round case.

I used to go absolutely bat shit crazy on those 3 wheeler's & on a 1979 Odyssey we had on the farm. We would take them down to the Platte river spend the day getting wet & muddy.

I rolled one very similar to that over my back once while going up a hill. I was 14 or 15, IIRC. Cured me of ever wanting to ride a motorcycle again.

Oh ya,they are dangerous. Bat shit crazy came with a lot of bumps & bruises along the way.
None were as bad as some of the burns I have gotten over the years playing with old steam equipment.

R8RFAN 02-15-2013 03:59 PM

I had a honda 3 wheeler, rolled it into a creek and damn near froze to death

BroncoDork 02-15-2013 05:33 PM

I hope I'm set with my Norinco SKS, Smith .38 Chief's Special, Smith Model 19 .357, Winchester .308 lever, Marlin 30-30, Marlin .22, an assortment of Spiderco knives, some brass knucks, and bear spray.

Traded my Smith 9mm for a new furnace last year, would like to get a .45 auto.
