Looks like the Alamo Bowl will be the top Big 12 bowl outside the playoff.

The state of Missouri will host three conference basketball tournaments in 2017. In addition to the Big 12 and MVC, the SEC tournament will be in Saint Louis.

It's worth a shot. Nashville was such an unmitigated disaster this year, with some games being totally empty. More pigeons than persons.

The Loo will need to make disaster preparations which Nashville didn't. Those include moving to a local high school the minute Kentucky goes out.

You're missing the big point of this article. 8 man officiating crews!

St. Louis is very north as far as SEC territory goes. I would think the place should be filled with MU and UK fans throughout the event.

They couldn't even draw flies to Nashville where an SEC school resides (a basketball one at that). Nuff said.

I suppose that is a good point. Nashville is very convenient for both MU and UK fans. Then again UK openly puts very little focus on this post season tournament so it makes sense attendance lags.

These numbers are embarrassing actually. Didn't realize how low they were.

I'm glad they didn't put the tournament in Kansas. That would have been embarrassing.

Yeah, Big 12 still has to come to Missouri to draw a crowd.

They should just play it in Allen Fieldhouse. Iconic facility and Ku wins it all the time anyway.

That's certainly an option. The conference has decided that the best place for the conference tournament is in Missouri, though.

That was announced. Actual was about 15 people for the morning session. On tv they showed an elderly couple in an abandoned section. A few pigeons landed in the nearby seats and asked "are these taken?"

I'm glad they took the MVC's and Big 12's lead and decided to move it to Missouri.
