Too bad it's all covered up by the media

Anyone have any experience with tangfolio .40sw pistols? My wife didn't like the gsg 522 as much as my colt ar22 so I'm thinking of trading it to a friend for this pistol. It seems like it would be an upgrade on my part but I'm not really sure about it. http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p...s/image-11.jpg

Your Tangfolio = a CZ clone - and when made in italy they were pretty well made, a good buy for the money. They may be made in Turkey now - and I find Turkish pistols to be a 'crap shoot' - some are great and real good buys, some - not quite right.

Turkish shotguns I'll buy without much worry, but Turkish pistols may need a shakedown cruise before you put a lot of trust in 'em. Anyhoo - CZ had a good design. If you like this one - they should make 'em in 10mm, in case you have black bear worries where you're at. I'm always looking for a way to justify big bore stuff like 10mm and 45-70's.

I'm thinking pretty seriously about making the trade. I really just need an auto to take my ccw with. It looks like they're going for 350-450. I've got about 250 in the gsg. If nothing else I can get my permit and break even.

My neighbor is an 87 year old widow who wants to sell her deceased husband's collection of steyr, browning, a couple of who knows, winchester: shotguns and 30-06 rifles. One appears to be an antique double barrel 12 gauge.

Suggestions where to search for market value; and for internet selling??

Thanks.

Between BTN replay's of football classics, I made 25 bucks today

Took a few pounds off the trig & taped a 4-40 allen for the trig stop.
This guy should be happy, this trig was real gritty, now its smooth & breaks nice

Thanks. Rep.

Depending on the price, I'm considering buying the Styer 30-06. It is beautiful. Is that a easy to access ammo? Has any newer caliber replaced it?

30-06 is pretty easy to find in stores and online, but its a bit expensive.

30-06 is readily available everywhere I've been. I need to get some now that you mentioned it. Gotta sight in my baby(ruger m77 mark II all stainless with the skeleton stock) thing is a tack driver. But I broke my sling at the end of deer season and i dropped it scope first onto a branch.

I had the same gun in a 7 mag at one point, I never should have sold it, that thing could drive nails. Mu 300 Ultramag will do the same thing, but I should have kept the Ruger as well. One of these days I'm going to get a wild hair and pick up another one.

Dunerdr 07-21-2014 05:12 AM

I'd love to have one in 7 mag. I really need to shoot it more than I do but I just don't have time these days.

Yeah I can sure relate to that.
