See Lil Chiefy thread.

I ran into this 49ers fan at that wedding reception a few nights ago. This is a dude who I graduated with in my whopping class of 75 students...in a town with a whopping population of 1500-2000. He follows the Chiefs a bit because his dad's fireworks company does the fireworks there and he works for his dad. He gets VIP everything at Chiefs games and invites me to go with him and offers to pay for all my shit. (No joke. J&M Displays...look it up...I play for their softball team during the summer). I've never been able to work things out to go with him quite yet. KC is quite the haul from where I live and it seems like I've always had work/school/children/wrestling obligations that interfered with my chances of going. Not to mention, I have to be careful for which game(s) I choose to attend, for I have cold urticaria (UGH...worst thing prevalent in my life). Super nice guy though...kind of a goof-ball who fell into a sweet situation when he was roughly 20 years old and his dad's business took off, but nice dude...huge 49ers fan.

75% of our total social interaction Saturday consisted of him razzing me about Alex Smith and 49ers-Chiefs QB's over the years. He basically went on and on about how he was so glad that the Smith era was over with and I tried giving him shit back by saying he still had to be forced to watch Smith at the Chiefs games and he jabbed right back by reiterating to me that he has no affinity whatsoever for the Chiefs. He basically said that he thinks Chiefs fans are generally assholes and he is apathetic as to whether they win or lose for he is a 49ers fan and therefore, he no longer cares about Alex Smith's suckage.

Watching Alex Smith throw the football has always appeared very shot-puttish to me. I didn't know if anyone else perceived it that way or not. It was funny, the dude was like, "yeah you'll get sick of watching Smith throw the football like a shot-putt after 1 half of watching him play." I just kind of laughed and was like, "dude, I'm already sick of it. And **** your Nancy-ass 49ers. Prick."

I have absolutely no optimism whatsoever when it comes to the Chiefs all because of our ongoing ****ing QB woes.

Will someone just finish the damn list.

RustShack 06-12-2013 09:53 PM

Do divisions and we can vote the top 100 if we have too.

 This. People are expecting too much from Axl Reid. He'll be competent(maybe), but that mother****er ain't winning shit. Most everyone ackowledged the reality of this at first, but then came the OTA reports(and yet MORE dumb and familiar takes like "we're working really hard"(!), and all of a sudden it's happy hope time?
Get real. The best thing that can happen for this team, is for Axl to diahrreah-slide into obscurity sooner rather than later, so we can address this position in a legitimate manner.

I wasn't a member or lurker when we signed Cassel. What was the general mood on CP when we signed him? Were hopes high, low or mixed? What was the mood in comparison to Smith? I was drunk at a bar when I randomly glanced at the TV screen and saw the news via Sportscenter. My whole night was ruined.

Msmith 06-12-2013 10:05 PM

They had the same mood as when Herm was hired.

Ahhh...takes me back it does...

The recap:

Prior to shitheel being signed, a poll was taken whereby said dumb**** placed DEAD last among three contestants; Cassel, Snatchez, and someone else who escapes me.

NO ONE wanted the mother****er.

Yet, when he was signed, out came the You Tube clips, followed by the SAME EXACT HORSESHIT we are going through right now with Axl.

It's a sad ****ing state of affairs.

Oh. That explains it all because I WAS a member/active poster when we made that move. Thanks, homeslice.

My God....thinking about that makes me shudder.

That Mark Sanchez stuff must have really been quite the thing on CP back then. I notice it being referenced all the time.

The butthurt still runs deep over even the lowly Snatchz just ****ing Cassel's world up in every concievable manner.

Some people were gaga for anything Pats related at the time. Other people weren't too happy about it. Seems to me there were a couple dozen holdouts who wanted to see what he could do before giving him a lengthy, expensive contract.
